We chose Wells for a weekend away and the stay at number12 made it a weekend to remember. The house is immaculate and the hosts charming and attentive. Our bedroom was very smart and well fitted out.
Breakfast was to die for. The bacon and scrambled eggs were some of the best I have ever tasted. You get a lovely view of the cathedral and the house is brilliantly situated for a short walk into town. A really good top end B&B ,well worth visit to see a lovely city.

It’s not often you come across a B&B as nice as this one. Our bedroom was lovely, large and light and the spacious bathroom, with free standing bath, came with thick fluffy towels and locally made toiletries. The shower was fantastic, exceptionally roomy with lashings of hot water. We had the room with the balcony and woke up to a wonderful view across to the cathedral, and the sound of bells pealing in the distance. The bed was amazing, the most comfortable we have ever slept in with wonderful soft linen and gorgeous pillows. Having fresh milk in our room for the tea and coffee was an additional thoughtful touch.
Cathy and Chris were such friendly and welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were delicious and included fresh fruit and yoghurt, eggs cooked to perfection and home-made preserves. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to stay for the weekend. Highly recommended.

This B & B was friendly, comfortable and within really easy walking distance of all the tourist attractions of Wells. We were welcomed and made to feel at ease in the house. Good breakfasts and a lovely room. We liked having fresh milk put into the room each night for our early morning tea. Wonderful view over towards the Cathederal. We hope to return.

Room Tip: We had the biggest room with balcony. Very comfortable, open plan bathroom,

Number twelve is definitely in the top echelon of B&Bs. We had the main room with a balcony and view over the garden and cathedral. The bed was very comfortable with soft pillows and the open plan bathroom chic and contemporary, the free standing bath a particular treat. We were welcomed with tea and a delicious home made cake in the private guest sitting room before making our way into Wells for dinner, just a short 10 minute walk past the Cathedral. Breakfast was probably the most healthy full English we have ever had, but there are several alternatives if you prefer something lighter, for example on day 2 we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, plus each morning there was a selection of fresh berries and natural yoghurt. Our hosts were most helpful with their recommendations for places to eat (all excellent) and there was a plentiful supply of tea (fresh milk, no uht here) and local bottled water in the room. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: If its available book the main room with free standing bath and balcony

We arrived at Numver Twelve in dreadful weather but were met with a very warm welcome, pot of tea and cream scones. We were extremely impressed with our room (the one with the balcony) and it was great to experience a touch of luxury on our 3 week trip to the UK. The views from the window were stunning. The bed was so comfy with lovely crisp white bedding and the toiletries in the bathroom added a special touch in a spacious area. Loved the bath! Cathy delivered an excellent breakfast, the best we experienced on our trip - eggs scrambled to perfection and was also on hand to give advice on the local area. The town was just a short walk away and provided so much to see and do. Would definately recommend a stay at Number Twelve.
