As a group of 3 couples from Germany, all in our fifties, we spent 3 nights at Highfield House as from 10th June and had a totally enjoyable time at Stephanie’s and Steve’s lovely period home. There is ample off-street parking and the city centre is only a leisurely stroll away. We were accommodated in Rose, Daffodil and Ivy; the rooms vary in size but all were meticulously kept with the décor in keeping with the Edwardian style of the house. Breakfasts were scrumptious and generously portioned, served by Steve in the beautiful dining room with its turn-of-the-century fireplace and its stunning view of the garden; the table was lovingly laid out with an eye for detail. All cooked meals were freshly prepared and cooked to order. Steve provided us with loads of local info which certainly helped us make the very most of our days in Wells and surroundings. In the evenings we ended our days in the peace and quiet of the gorgeous garden with its profusion of roses and its illuminated water feature. We’d like to thank the Trebbles for their warm welcome and the relaxing atmosphere and would return any time.
