Stayed for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Baytree is only a 10 minute walk from the centre and has the advantage of plentiful parking. Paul is a typically charming Italian and made us feel welcome from the outset and offered plenty of advice on where to eat etc. We had the downstairs double ensuite room which was quite spacious and comfortable with flat screen tv. There was a little noise due to the proximity of stairs and breakfast room, which were uncarpeted, however we were hardly troubled by it!
The breakfast room is spacious with a pleasant view of the garden and breakfast was a cut above the norm. both as to choice and quality.
We found Wells an excellent base for east Somerset, having spent the previous 4 nights at Watchet to cover the west, and would definitely return to Baytree if in the area again.

Stayed here for a wedding for two nights April 2012. We had the downstairs double room which was most comfortable and had and en suite with shower. There was also great wifi and a flat screen tv. Only downside to this room is that long lie-ins aren't likely if you're a light sleeper since it is adjacent to the breakfast room and the stairs. Our hosts were lovely and despite our late arrival due to a delayed flight were very helpful and offered us a choice of rooms. Breakfast was wonderful. The breakfast room light and airy, with a great choice of cereals, toast and hot options, including a brilliant full english that we just couldn't resist two mornings running! Great location too; we came in by bus from bristol and it was easy to find and only a 10 minute walk from the bus terminus. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the cathedral too (or a £4 taxi if you're in heels...). Would recommend to friends.

We had a very warm and friendly welcome at this lovely B&B in Wells. It is great base to stay if you want to visit attractions such as Glastonbury, Cheddar, Longleat and Wookey Hole as well as Wells. The room was nice with good facilities and although not ensuite we had our own private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection. The only downside was that other guests were a bit noisy during the night. Would definately go back as it was a good place to stay and the people were very friendly and helpful.

A warm wlcome from Amanda and Paul. Bright conmfortable room with flat TV and also Wi-Fi. Very good breakfasts with a lot of choice. Good on site-parking. Lounge.
Very good situation.Say 5 min walk to town and 10 min to Cathedral. In evening we ate at the Beckynton in the Market place (French/English) and at Beah (English/ Mediteranean) and we were pleased with both.
A very enjoyable stay.
