“Unique. Not the TI”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

It is hard to rate a unique establishment! The Centre specialises in esoteric information such as the routes of supposed 'Earth Energy Lines' and local beliefs and legends. They have some very well-produced footpath maps which are useful for local walks, especially if you do want to trace 'Michael Energy' etc. Even if you are sceptical about forms of energy which seem able to elude AVO-meters the maps are still useful for their more mundane content, having a lot of local names, detail, etc not found on the OS 1:25k.

This is not the Tourist Information centre, and it's alternative stance does not extend to suporting car-free travel - go over the road to the TI for help with bus or cycling routes.

Thank you very much indeed for your review, it is true that is difficult to rate something that we feel is unique! Our aim is to work in complimentary tandem with the TIC - this is why cycle routes and bus routes are best sourced through them. This allows us to focus specifically on everything 'Glastonbury' that is of interest to the visitor wishing to explore the esoteric aspects of the town. We hope you enjoyed your visit and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

“Place to go if you are ever lost in Glastonbury!”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

This place is a real gem, it is run predominantly by volunteers and can tell you everything you need to know about Glastonbury and the surrounding area: where to go, everything about the spiritual history of the town and what's going on. Maps, guides and also a gift shop. It is tucked away through the arch heading down to the Assembly Rooms so it is not easy to see from the High Street. Ask in any of the shops, though, they can point you in the right direction.

Thank you very much indeed for your review Mara. I think a good guideline to find us is to locate the Tourist Information Centre on the High Street - we are in the archway directly opposite and over the road.

“Small, but very interesting”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

This place is small, but contains interesting maps, walks and histories of interesting facts about Glastonbury.
Most things you need to pay for, but great to find them in this friendly and helpful setting.
Check times though, as it is not always open.

We are delighted to receive your review - thank you very much indeed. Yes, we are small (diamonds are not as big as rocks eh? ;) and would love a bigger location so that we could provide larger displays and exhibitions - that is our aim for the future :)
All verbal information and support is offered by the volunteers 'for the love of it'. Donations are always welcome though! We are a not for profit organisation and naturally need funds to cover running expenses. The maps and pamphlets that we sell all directly support the centre so we can continue offering a warm and supportive welcome to all visitors exploring Glastonbury.

Warm blessings to you and all the very best for 2014 and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Hi Pete!
Thank you for your review. I particularly liked your reference to the interesting characters. I think that's one of the great things about the PRC, the volunteers all come from differing walks of life and differing perspectives and every visit can be different to the last one!
