“Well worth the money”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

This was our first stay at the Premier Inn in Glastonbury after our last disastrous stay a year ago at another hotel chain. The hotel is newly built and was only completed a few months ago. The car park outside was more than large enough to take all the hotel guests' vehicles. The staff on the reception were pleasant, informative, efficient and quickly issued cards for the doors and lights. We were on the second floor in room 221 which is almost the farthest room from the lift, which cuts down on the amount of people passing the room. The odd numbered rooms face the road and even numbered rooms the rear car park. The room was approximately 9m by 4m including the en suite, the single window was triple glazed but did not open. There were a number of mirrors and a sufficient number of lights. There was a central open unit to hang your clothes, a number of shelves and one drawer. A family of four, staying for week would probably need more space for their clothes. Besides a double bed there was a bed settee, a dining room type chair & a moveable table. There was a kettle, a small amount of coffee/tea makings, a hairdryer and a small digital TV. There were two additional pillows also provided. The en suite was a reasonable size, well lit, with shampoo/body and soap dispensers. The bath was a reason size and the water supply had a excellent pressure and filled the bath quickly and could be changed to the shower. Two bath towels, one hand towel and a bath mat were provided. Though the room faced the road the noise was not too obtrusive. The ventilation for the en suite and the air conditioning made a noise and this could keep you awake if they were left on. There was plenty of information provided regarding the room facilities, fire alarm procedure and the restaurant next door. All in all this was a good value deal, the room suited our needs, there was plenty of free parking and a restaurant next. The area was not the most scenic but unless you are looking out of the window this is not going to worry you. Would we return to this hotel again, that would be a resounding yes.

Room Tip: Even number face the car park, odd number the main road.

Premier Inn Glastonbury presents amazing value for families. All rooms are family sized and fit 2 extra beds. All beds are comfy with very snug bedding and pillows. The rooms are quiet despite the proximity of the main road. The restaurant next door offers free breakfast for kids when eating with an adult. All staff were very friendly and helpful, the kids got cream eggs at Easter. Breakfast can be a bit busy but as its such good value a little bit of patience at busy times is understandable. Hotel in an easy access location by car for trips to Clarks village as well as the Tor and other local attractions.

Another great stay in a Premier Inn. As usual it was a comfortable clean room, friendly staff with everything you expect in these types of hotels. This one is newly built so everything is spotless. The family room that we had was bigger than usual and we certainly appreciated the extra space. Usual clean bathroom, plenty of parking. Once again can't fault Premier Inn and we'll happily stay here again.

Lovely new hotel with all the standard features you come to expect from a Premier Inn. However on return to our room after a very tiring day we found it had not been made up, at 4 pm !! Someone had been into the room at some point as the tv which we couldn't turn off had been turned off, but had not serviced the room. When I spoke to a maid in their service area she told me that arrivals take priority and that our room would be made up before 5 pm. When I said this was not the service I am used to at a Premier Inn, she was unsympathetic, saying that they had a lot of rooms to get ready and ours would be done at some point. I had to put my foot down and make the point that we were wanting to rest and did not want to be disturbed and had expected our room to be done. Eventually as I was not going to go away she got another maid to get our room sorted. Come on Premier Inn, make sure you have enough staff to service your rooms on time and keep your customers happy. A last point the room is a lot noisier than you expect from PI. Lots of noise from the room above, footsteps hairdryer etc, we are very close to claiming our free nights accommodation and we have two more nights to endure !!

I arrived at this hotel on the 4th July, staying for 1 night. On Arrival the young lady who greeted me was charming and full of joy, I couldn't of asked for anything better. The room was clean and spacious, just what I needed as i was really tired and wanted to get into bed. The following morning I went downstairs to reception and the twins on reception (Reece and Nath) could not of been better, to have the enthusiasm that the both had so early in the morning was amazing, they asked me how my stay was and were both extremely happy with my response. Top marks for this hotel, will definitely be returning here.

Room Tip: All staff are great :)

Brand new, spotlessly clean hotel. No frills but that's to be expected with this brand. Air con works. Car park is free and no hassle. Breakfast is fine. Town is a within walking distance. Came here on business and booked months ahead for July and I am delighted with the value I received. Staff all courteous. Had to ask for extra towels for two people - only problem really. Even though we were right by the lift, we didn't really hear too much during the night.

This is a well run premier inn, and is just what you expect from them. A nice clean and moden budget hotel. Staff were very freindly and could not do enough for you. There was only one thing that wrecked our stay, we had booked the meal deal for the Brewer Fayre next door, do not do this. It is the worst restaurant that I have ever been in! Food is very poor and the service is even worst!
