Lovely secluded gardens filled with peace and tranquillity.

Personally I am not convinced by the mystical claims but that in no way harms the gardens' beauty nor the spectacle of the water flowing through the different areas.

Popped in on a Sunday morning, it was quiet and there was an overall feeling of peace. Beautiful garden even in bleak January. Will return at another time of year when there is more interesting things to look at from a plant point of view. You can drink the water from the spring and it does not taste too bad. It is full of iron and makes everything red. Quite difficult paths to navigate if you are with someone who is not fully able but just take your time and you will be rewarded by a bench nearby and a nice view (lots of nooks and crannies and seating around).

My only disappointment in these gardens was the fact we had so little time. Being November it was quiet and felt very very peaceful. I'm sure the gardens are beautiful in the summer, but also very busy. It is certainly a place to take your time and breathe it in. Every few steps there is another attraction and no matter what part we were in I would love to have sat down and just sat in the peacefulness of the place. The well provides a lovely setting for meditation or to just sit and rest. I would go back again but leave a good half day to enjoy it.
