“delightfully home from home charm.”
Reviewed September 18, 2012 for a stay in September 2012

I have stayed in this cottage on several occasions and l always feel sad to leave. It is a beautiful cottage with lots of homely charm and character. I always feel very at home in the cottage and it has everything you could need, even toys for the children. the cottage is located close to the high street, which is in easy walking distant . It is also in a good location for the many country walks, including the tor.

“Avalon- In the pink, in Glastonbury.”

Avalon is conveniently situated, just ten minutes walk, slightly uphill, from the centre of Glastonbury High Street.
With three bedrooms (two doubles & one single) and two bathrooms, there was enough space for four of us to be comfortable, although the en-suite was a little cramped.
The cottage has all amenities and is decorated to a good standard.
The beds are very comfortable!!!!!! (A huge plus!)
The comfortable lounge is very pleasant to relax in after a long day exploring.
Every morning, we ate breakfast outside, in the small patio area, which catches the sun all day long.
There is private parking for one small car, and although we found it necessary to park on the road, outside the front of the cottage, we experienced no problems.
I would stay at Avalon again.

“Lovely cottage in perfect location”
Reviewed July 11, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

This lovely cottage in Glastonbury really is a home away from home. All the amenities, plenty of room for a group, strong showers, comfortable beds. It's only a 5 min walk to the main street in town and is within walking distance to the abbey, the tor and the wells. In fact you can see the tor outside the bathroom window. We had a wonderful time here and arranging everything with Barbara was a joy. We had an issue with some lights in the kitchen and no easy way to communicate (our simple cell phones didn't work in the UK). Barbara and Mandy bent over backwards to get the problem resolved. Very happy with our stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Glastonbury.

“I loved this cottage.”
Reviewed June 30, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

Spotlessly cleaned by Mandy, with more than enough of everything you need. Lovely comfy bed - normally I have a bit of trouble adjusting to sleeping in an unfamiliar house, but not in that bed!
I loved just sitting in the sunny garden and felt really relaxed there.
It's on a hill with narrow pavements and overhanging hedges (cut on the morning I left!!!) which is tricky to climb if you're really unfit like me, but by the end of the stay I could get there without stopping to catch my breath, so it did me some good!

“Our favourite place to stay in Glastonbuy”
Reviewed May 2, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We have stayed at three places in Glastonbury recently; Avalon Cottage is the best by far. Beautifully presented and just a 5 minute stroll into the heart of town. The rooms are the perfect size with character and tasteful decoration. Really comfortable beds and pillows. A good kitchen leads to a pleasant little courtyard. The showers were brilliant especially the one in the en-suite. Very much recommended. Our Number 1 so far.

“A very comfortable cottage”
Reviewed April 25, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We all enjoyed our stay at Avalon Cottage, which was nicely furnished, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The cottage is conveniently placed, about a 3 minute walk down the hill to the high street or a very short drive or longer walk up to the Tor. We will definitely return as we really enjoyed the area and found the cottage very welcoming to return to each day. Our teenage children were happy as there was internet access so they could use their iPads etc and only a short stroll to interesting shops and cafes.
