We stayed one night at Exmoor house and were very inpressed. Rooms were very cosy, clean & well equipped. Jean made us a lovely pot of tea on arrival which was very welcome after a day touring Breakfast was VERY good and plentiful. Highly recommend this B&B in this beautiful village.

We stayed one night. The B & B was easy to find as it is in the main street of Dunster near the church. Parking, however, is difficult in Dunster although we got lucky in finding a space just opposite. If the car whose space we filled had not moved at the right time I don't know where we would have ended up.
Our bedroom accommodation was homely rather than luxurious but the room - which was fairly spacious - wholly met our needs. The en suite was small with a shower but it was adequate. We had twin beds and I think the duvets were singles which meant that it was very easy for them to slip off the bed during the night. I reckon that a double duvet for single beds is a desirable feature for home and hotels which is why I have slightly marked down the "sleep quality" rating.
There was a pleasant residents' lounge with a television and a separate dining room for breakfast. Breakfast was superb with fruit juice, fruit, cereal and a marvellous cooked breakfast and toast which set us up for the day. The proprietor was welcoming, very pleasant and helpful in suggesting places in which to eat in the village. All in all we had an excellent stay and I would happily recommend the accommodation.

Thank you so much Jean and Dave for a wonderful stay. The lodgings were comfortable, breakfasts were delicious and your hospitality was greatly appreciated. We arrived in stages with a boisterous extended family - you were gracious and helpful the entire time. I highly recommend this accomodation!

I had not visted Dunster for many years and was certainly not dissapointed. This is a well run,Friendly bed and breakfast with the added novelty of an all round Christmas shop! We were made very welcome by David Moon who runs the place with his wife Jean. We booked a double room and were not dissapointed. The room was clean, well decorated with everything you would need including a fridge in the corridor with fresh milk for your tea and coffee. The bath room was spotless with plenty of towels and a novel soap/conditioner/shampoo dispenser in the shower. We spent a very comfortable night followed by the "full exmoor" breakfast, which is highly reccomended!. We were even given the option of smoked trout ,scrambled egg etc.All ingredients are locally produced. We were then drawn to the Christmas shop at the entrance which is worth a look. We now have some nice decorations to remind us of our stay. Highly reccomended! we will be returning in the new year. This place is a real gem.

We have stayed at this Guest House many times and already planning for next year. The house is spotless, the beds comfortable and the breakfasts supurb. David & Jean run a really good business and their Christmas Shop is a revelation.
Long my they continue, but remember, it's not a hotel, but a wonderful Guest House

this is a lovely small family run hotel, actually i would have said guest house.
stayed there for one night comeing back from cornwall this week.
It is run by a husband and wife team so everything is done by themselves with no staff, and this way you know they are putting their all into making your stay as hassel free as is possible.the room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh to order, the vegetarian choice for a full english breakfast was amazing even down to quorn rashers.
well presented.
Having fresh milk in a fridge on the landing for making your teas and coffees in the room
was so nice in comparison to the little long life plastic milk capsuels one would normally get.
lovely little christmas shop in the front foom of the property with the window acting as a shop window.
great for tourists a real novelty.

We stayed at Exmoor House for the South West Pro Tour Challenge Cycle ride starting in nearby Minehead, deciding to make a weekend of it. The owner was extremely helpful and gave very useful advice on local eateries and walks on Exmoor.

The room was very comfortable breakfast excellent and the ambience very calm.

We would definitely stay again if we visit the area
