As there was only one person on duty at 2.30pm or thereabouts, on 20 June, and they were busy selling ice cream we joined the short ice cream queue and ordered a pot of tea for two. The tea was perfectly acceptable, though would have preferred cups and saucers to mugs, and the service was friendly and efficient. Oddly, there were no menus on display and none was offered. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our cup of tea.

Thank you for taking the time to comment after your visit in June.

I took over running The Chocolate House at the beginning of June and we had a few weeks of "settling in" during which time our staff cover was a little variable.

The menus are available for all to see now and we hope you'll pop in again when you are next in Dunster!

Couldn't come away without a worthy selection of goodies on offer. A chocoholic's dream to find a place like this.

Visited the chocolate house on a cold February day purely by chance as we noted it was dog friendly. Nothing too much trouble, very enjoyable teas and scones. Even the dog was given some special biscuits. We shall return

Yet again, lucky enough to partake of the divine melted chocolate - hot chocolate.
Several cups between us and a large handful of the chocolate buttons.
Simply gorgeous.
Sadly, just missed out on the guitar club that would have been wonderful.

The Chocolate House is an informal and reasonable tea shop / café serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cream teas, sandwiches, cakes, waffles, ice cream etc as well as their own brand chocolate.

We were welcomed by the owners / chocolatiers and found a table easily. Whilst we looked at the menu we were given free samples of their chocolate (a welcome treat and great PR - how can you leave without buying more!?)

The service is friendly and quick, the sandwiches and hot chocolate we had was delicious and reasonably priced. We weren't rushed out and the owners welcomed questions about the chocolate on display in the shop.

The shop sells their own brand chocolate made locally, there are many shapes, sizes and tastes and is intermixes with local Somerset ginger ale, apple juice etc.

This is a must see for all visitors to Dunster and don't forget to pop next door to the fudge shop if you want to top up on the sugar!
