We had dinner for two at Hathaways on a summer evening after walking all day in Exmoor national park. Food was very tasty with a strong effort on presentation, with special mentions to the desserts (Tiramisu and Hathaway's mess). The restaurant has a great atmosphere, it's rather small and cosy with a very warm feeling all round.
Kasia does a wonderful job of catering to everyone, and handles everything very well: for example, the white wine we ordered wasn't available from the fridge, she was very efficient in getting a bottle from the cellar and chilling it so that we could enjoy it. Their bellini is absolutely fantastic, and for a smallish place like this, the wine list is absolutely spot on - in particular, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a selection of dessert wines and digestive liqueurs.
Overall, a great experience. The food may have missed a "spark" that would make this one of the best meals we've had, but apart from that we can only recommend the place.
