Went to The Riverside Inn with my wife while on holiday in Cheddar for an evening meal. The pub/restaurant has several different sections. There is the restaurant part in a large conservatory at the back (some diners had booked, but we hadn't, but managed to get a seat anyway). There were also numerous tables in the open air (summer) by the riverside for diners or those who just wanted a drink. There is also a bar to the right of the pub which has Sky Sports, mostly used by locals: from here there is also a covered outside part, also mostly used by the locals. This all reminds me of the olden days of pubs with a "public" bar and a "lounge" bar (there is also one of the latter with a separate entrance at the front where you can have bar food). Before 6.30, the meals are cheaper, so we had starters & mains (soup, then burgers & chips). The food was all of a good standard & the service very polite. On the bill, they forgot to add the price of the drinks (but we pointed this out anyway).
