“Fun, casual pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

Found this pub on trip advisor - and did not disappoint! The pub is not affiliated with any corporate brewery/restaurant aka its a "free pub." Had the raven gold and best in show, both excellent. Decided the beer was so spot on, we'd stay for dinner. Had the matador and the fungi chicken (which was the better of the two). With each pie hd choice of chips or mash, and choice of gravy. 2 pies and 2 beers only 20 pounds. Great experience.

“You will find the locals”

Warm atmosphere, great pub food and their raven beer was a favorite! Must try a pie and gravy! Hidden away in one of the side streets of Bath!

“Amazing pies”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2013

Lovely food, their pies are amazing! The venue is in the very centre of Bath. There's nothing better than a pie, mash and gravy to restore yourself whilst walking up to the Royal Crescent. Excellent choice!

“Best pub ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2013

We just happened on this pub and stopped in for a coffee, but came back for lunch as it was so cozy and welcoming and warm on a cold day. Dined upstairs and had their amazing Raven special meat & ale pie on mash - yum! The owner/manager and staff were so friendly and service was great. We'll be back!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

We visited 5 minutes before stopping food service. The bar man quickly took our order up to the kitchen. Well kept good selection of ales, knowledgeable staff and wonderful simple food - pies and sausages. Will definitely be back next time we are in Bath.
