We stopped here for lunch - and the local and especially prepared savory pies were perfect and delicious.
If you're looking for place for a proper pint, stop in here on your tour of Bath. Staff is excellent, friendly and welcoming. The locals are generous with their hospitality and sight seeing recommendations. And the ales? As stated in the opening comment - - a proper pint! So good we went back later that evening for 'dessert' after dinner!

Cheers, Ya'll!

This is exactly how a pub should be. Great selection of well kept beer, friendly, knowledgeable staff, no TVs, no jukebox and Pieminister pies. Perfect.

A proper pub, real ale, pies and gravy
Centrally located this is a must try pub especially for visitors from abroad, this is what English pubs used to be like. Excellent selection of beer, with a cross section of customers, young and old with no music blasting out.
Lunched with my wife and mother in law, all enjoyed the food, chicken pie and ploughmans will definately be back next time we visit

I have tried most pubs in Bath and this is the best pub for beer by far. Stocking a good choice (5) of real ale, they are all well kept and served with a smile very time. Not eaten here but friends tell me the pies are very good. A great boozer.
