We booked the lunchtime menu here as a break from Christmas shopping and really have no regrets. We were treated well by all the staff, extending a level of courtesy that should be an example to all. The meal was delightful and very good value at £35 for three courses. The fact that the chef, Sam Moody, has just gained his first Michelin star was evident from the quality and flavours of the meal. The wine was excellent, but pricey, but this was a treat for us, so we had no objections to that. All in all, the meal with wines, water and coffee was superb and we look forward to returning there soon.
If you want a high standard of cuisine, then be prepared to pay for it.

My wife booked the lunch special menu for my birthday treat. First class cuisine, we chose to have dessert in the lounge with coffee, and they served for me on a slate with "Happy Birthday" piped on. The lunch special is excellent value (in the £20s, whereas the evening tasting menu is over £100 - and probably worth that).

The adage 'you get what you pay for' is true. From the moment of entry to exit from Bath's best
hotel/restaurant, service, attention to detail and quality of food are superb in a relaxed opulent atmosphere. One does not want to leave.
Prices are high but a snip compared to London equivalents.

The Bath Priory restaurant is a wonderful destination for great food and service. We were slightly concerned when we arrived at the time of our booking and were left waiting for 4 minutes while they checked our table was ready but after that wobbly start everything flowed.

We chose the tasting menu at £90 a head. This week it consisted of scallops, foie gras, turbot, pork, (belly, loin and beignet) cheese, pannacotta, chocolate and petit fours. Each course was delightful the service was well timed and the wine range by the glass was excellent - in particular the Cambridge Road pinot noir from Marlborough at £13.95 a glass.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough and we will be revisting again soon.
