Description: If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Amazing, quirky little restaurant with tasty, yummy food. Staff lovely, well priced and an option to sit on cushions to eat. Just delicious food, we polished off every bit and would love to return every weekend if only we lived closer!

“You won't yak!”

I have visited this restaurant three times. I have always found the that food is fresh and tasty. It's not the cheapest place in Bath, but it's certainly not the most expensive. I think given what the venue is they do offer an intersting range of dishes - so it's worth checking out their website/menu before you go. Some of the dishes aren' too spicey, but if you're someone who prefers the old reliables of steak or may be fish and chips don't go there. This is a restaurant which offers a good choice of food (including veggie dishes) for the discerning palate and perhaps more exotic climes.

“Genuinely good find in Bath”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

We visited this Nepalese restaurant for dinner during a day trip to Bath in late April. We ordered: Yak Yeti Yak Lamb Curry, Yak Yeti Yak Chicken Curry, Aloo Channa, Bhuteko Bhat & Musurko Dal. The curries were delicately spiced and really enjoyable and we could really taste the spices coming through, especially the cumin in the Lamb dish. The standard here was at a much higher level than the mediocre and sub-standard fare to be found in many other restaurants. Note that the chicken and lamb here is Halal for those with Islamic dietary needs.

The interior of the restaurant was decorated with ornaments from Nepal and it felt cosy and welcoming. Service was spot on, friendly and efficient. It was a Monday when we visited and we were expecting it to be quiet, but there was still a nice atmosphere and there seemed to be a steady stream of customers, a good sign that this is a popular restaurant.

Overall, highly recommended.
