Description: If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive – we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the Yak Yeti Yak Beef – spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

Our first experience of Nepalese was a delight - the pork momos were delicious! The Tharu lamb and Yak Yeti Yak chicken were both full of flavour, mildly spiced and fragrant. We tried both dahls - the black lentils went best with the lamb, the red lentils with the chicken - and we ordered a second portion of the chicken because it was so good. Staff were warm, helpful and friendly. Would love to visit again.

Attractive, below street level, shabby chic Nepalese restaurant. had 3 course set meal - about £12.00/head incl drinks.

Perfectly nice (but not scintillating) food & overall; nice atmosphere. No views...below street level!

Anyone looking for something different and special should definitely try this Nepalese restaurant. At first we were a bit unsure of what to expect, but we were absolutely positively surprised by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place and the delicious food. You can choose if you want to sit on the floor or go for a table.
The Yak Yeti Yak chicken is marvellous and goes very well with a saffron lassi.
Staff was very attentive, helpful, and friendly.
Without a doubt a great restaurant with reasonable prices.

My boyfriend had visited many times before but this was my first visit. I enjoyed the food and ambience so much we went again the following evening (for my birthday). As a vegetarian, finding a restaurant that cooks vegetables well and in a imaginative and delicious way is rare . Everything we ordered was tasty and made hotter to our taste. The vegetable dishes were varied which is why we had to return so I could try a different selection.

Lovely little restaurant - we'd never had Nepalese food before but found it to be of Indian influence with all of the subtle flavour of a medium curry but without the heat. Delicious! Choose the floor sitting area for an authentic experience rather than sitting at a normal table - the floor cushions are comfy and it makes the whole thing more relaxing. The owners are lovely - very polite and attentive. Recommended for a nice evening out.
