Delightful location in the wonderful city of Bath. Flat is clean and charming. Construction is occurring adjacent to flat, but wasn't distracting and soon will be finished. Hosts at Harington Hotel are very friendly and accommodating..
I had originally booked a hotel, but had been eyeing Harry's for quite some time. I decided at the last minute to go with a more authentic Bath experience, so ended up booking this for one night.
It's about a 15 min walk to the train station. The less luggage the better, as you're walking through crowds, uneven streets, etc. Their directions given were very clear.
The location is super convenient. Easy walking distance to where we wanted to go.
Lots of stairs, but you'll know that from the description. Since we were there just one night, we left our luggage on the main floor.
There were only 3 of us, One of the reasons I booked this property was because I wanted each of us (3 adults) to have our own bedrooms. This was the middle of our vacation, and knew we'd be ready for some space and privacy at that point. However, once we arrived, we found we could not access two of the bedrooms; the doors were locked. I walked over to the hotel to inquire, thinking I was having a problem with the keys. However, I was told that if your party has less than 4 people, they lock up two of the bedrooms. If you want the other bedrooms opened up, they charge an extra 20 lbs per bedroom, per night, They said this was written in the Terms & Conditions, but apparently, I missed the fine print. I thought this was odd, but since we were there only one night and the intention was for separate bedrooms, I paid to open up a 3rd bedroom.
Ironically, that bedroom (top level, small double) is very noisy at night. My sister slept in it, and she said party goers were walking around late into the night so she had a terrible night's sleep. I slept in the other top floor bedroom, and the only noise I heard were the seagulls. The bed was super comfy and I had a lovely night's sleep.
It did smell a bit musty to me and could use a good airing out. I'm not sure if that would help though, due to the age of the building. Also, since it's run by the hotel, it doesn't feel as personal as some airbnb type places I have stayed at. No personal touches.
My favorite spot might be the patio. We didn't make much use of the kitchen for our short stay. Overall, it's a very cute place and ideal for large groups.
Lovely home with everything we needed - ideal layout for us because we were 2 families. Teenagers had their own bathroom!
Close to city centre, major attractions and 5 min walk to Roman Baths. Enjoyed just strolling around the backstreets of Bath.
Myself and 3 girlfriends stayed at the townhouse in Trim Street 16-18 March. The staff were super friendly and helpful, letting us drop off our luggage and showed us where to park the car.
The house was delightful, clean, well equipped and really central to shops, restaurants and Thermal Spa.
We will definitely book to go again, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.
We stayed here for 2 nights in February at the beginning of our trip to England. Initially we had booked a room but before we arrived the property notified us that we had been upgraded to an apartment! Sheesh, kitchen 2 baths, living room with fireplace! So nice. It had 3 bedrooms (we only used one). Washing machine which we did use. Also a full English breakfast made to order at the hotel. I’m not sure what the rate for this apartment would have been, but I can say it was clean and right smack in the middle of Bath. Also right across the street from the best pub, the Raven, where we had our first meat pie.
This is the second time I've stayed at the house with a group of friends. It's a fabulous central location, so very handy for all the shops, bars and restaurants. The house is lovely and has everything you need. It is a little noisy at night, so next time we'll be taking ear plugs!
It's a perfect choice for a group of friends to have a weekend away. We loved the Bath Spa and the Gin bar, which is just around the corner.
We had a lovely stay. The apartment is great, well equipped, comfy, stylish. There’s a lot of stairs which were not ideal for my 93 year old dad. We got take away breakfast from the hotel which was perfect. The 2nd morning we managed to get to the dining area of the hotel and as usual the breakfast was excellent.
