Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

We popped in whilst on a trip to bath. The food was nice and the service was good but a little pricey for what you got.

I dropped in to Tagine Zhor with my wife on the off chance they had a table. They were very busy but had one space, in a sort of booth in the basement. The food was great, the restaurant is family owned and the chap who founded it hails from Casablanca, so they really do know authentic Moroccan food. We had the starter for two which is a mixture of a range of all the different starters that they offer and it was excellent, I'd definitely recommend it. The mains and desserts were also very good.
We had three courses, wine, and a small bottle of prosecco, which came to about £50 a head, which I felt was a good deal. Although the place was rammed, the service was very quick and everyone was friendly and cheerful. The booth downstairs might not be everyone's cup of tea as it is tucked away, but I liked being out of the bustle of the main restaurant upstairs, so it's worth bearing in mind if you visit.

We turned up on a Saturday night without a reservation to this very busy little restaurant, expecting to be turned away, but instead we were told there was a table available downstairs. We were led through the back, and downstairs to a tiny little room decked out in Moroccan style, with room for only one table. Our own private dining experience, away from the noise and bustle of the main restaurant, it was wonderful! An amazing menu, and the food when it arrived, was absolutely wonderful. I cannot rate the mixed 'meze' style starter highly enough, having no real idea what to expect, we were absolutely blown away. The staff were extremely friendly throughout, despite being rushed off their feet. A really absolutely wonderful restaurant.

I went to the restaurant with a friend. The food was below average and very disappointing. Definitely don’t recommend it.

Just back from Bath. This is the only place we book. One of our favourite restaurants anywhere. Authentic food in stylish surroundings. Great host, always happy to guide you round the cuisine if you’ve not tried it before. Try anything, you’ll not be disappointed. The good lady rates the B’stila D’jej her favourite ever meal. For me any of the tagine dishes. Finish with the mint tea. Utterly recommended, off the scale brilliant food.
