Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

I came two time the last week to try that marocan food for the first time (I used to eat a lot in France but never in england) and a second time because I liked it.
We enjoyed two time the tables outside with a nice weather.
The food is really good, not amazing but fresh and traditional.
The service is really friendly with the owner speaking english french and arabic I guess.

After a heavy morning of seeing some of Bath's sights we spotted the sign advertising the set menu lunch at a very good price (for Bath). We were delighted to find a nice range of North African dishes on the set menu and our choices proved to be delicious examples of the cuisine. Lovely decor, and the chairs are more comfortable than they look. Service was very competent and friendly, but a bit on the slow side, however that might have been due to our off-peak hours visit.

We somewhat randomly chose this restaurant vs. the wealth of other dining options while visiting Bath on a day trip from London. Moroccan cuisine is less common in our neck of the woods. We were not disappointed.

We tried two highly flavorful chicken dishes on the lunch menu. In both cases, the chicken was well seasoned, tender, fall off the bone. But the highlight was the variety of accompaniments within the dish that would satisfy any foodies' palate.

Service was good and proximity to the train station made it convenient to time with our day trip train schedule. Arguably one of the best meals on our trip. I only wish we didn't try to eat it all (large portions). They had lighter fare lunch options but they lacked the accompaniments that we confirmed would be the highlight of the meal.

Highly recommended
