Leslie and Lynsay were excellent hosts! Their facility is beautiful and their hospitality was profound and the breakfast was the best we've ever had! Their guest house is an easy and beautiful walk to downtown Bath. Even though we were only there overnight, we felt right at home and if ever given the chance we'll stay there again!

Spent 5 nights at Apple Tree while looking at archives and records in Bath. Stayed at other Pulteney Gdns B&Bs before but not since Apple Tree opened. If you need good, very clean and bright, simple accommodation, very near to the city centre, with good hosts (Les and Lynsay are very welcoming and helpful), wide choice for breakfast, come and go as you wish then this is your place. I will have no hesitation is staying again when next in Bath for similar purposes. 10 mins from Bath Spa Station via Widcombe Bridge-very good. Three alternative ways into the city-centre. Very near rugby, cricket, croquet, bowls and tennis clubs, Holburne Museum, Sydney Gardens, the river and canal (quiet walks). Here's an example of it's convenience: I'd forgotten a document needed for a meeting so dashed back from the Library (Northgate St) to Apple Tree and then to far side of Queen's Square in 21 mins--and I'm 71.

We spent 3 nights at the Apple Tree Guest House which we enjoyed very much. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were given plenty of information on the local area and a parking permit allowing us to park nearby. The room, though on the small side, was beautifully decorated and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice and well cooked and there was lots of tea or coffee to start the day. It was only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Bath where there are plenty of things to see and do, and lots of places to eat and drink. We look forward to returning to Apple Tree Guest House soon to continue our exploration of the city. We would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone looking for good value, clean and friendly accommodation near the city centre.

Liked — Location, ease of parking, cleanliness, friendliness of the owners & breakfast!
Disliked — cannot fault this guest house in any way

Staying at the Apple Tree Guest House was wonderful. The owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The guest house is clean, comfortable and very convenient for walking as well to the center of Bath as to the station. I had booked a single room for five nights, but got a bigger room. The room was cozy and I appreciated very much that I got such a nice room with a clean and lovely private bathroom. My holidays were very relaxing and I slept very well, because I felt safe and got a good bed in a nice ambiance. I enjoyed staying at the Apple Tree Guest House very much.

The Apple Tree was the first place we stayed during our trip to England, and it was by far the best place we stayed. Everything was ready for us upon arrival. The room was small by U.S. standards, but it was clean and lovely. Unless you're planning on spending all your time in your room, it's a perfect place to recharge your batteries before another day of sight-seeing.

Les was most helpful in helping us figure out how to get to our side trip destination of Glastonbury. Breakfast was fabulous. Don't be afraid to ask for coffee, either. They'll bring it out in a French press, as opposed to the instant coffee that tastes like dishwater that you will get at most places. Best coffee we had all trip.

We stayed a total of two nights in the downstairs double en-suite room. The free wi-fi made it possible to stay in touch with the family back home. The residential street was super quiet and the most perfectly situated for walking into Bath proper to see the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, etc.. If we ever get a chance to come back to Bath, we will most definitely be staying at the Apple Tree.
