My husband and I have just returned from our second stay at the Apple Tree and we were just as happy as the first time we stayed :-) Lynsay and Les are very welcoming and have time for all of their guests. All of our needs were catered for (my husband is lactose intolerant but this didn't phase Lynsay or Les at all!)

The rooms are very comfortable, clean and easy to relax in. The breakfast is also fantastic! The Apple Tree is no more than a five minute walk from the centre of Bath and therefore everything you could want to see or access is within easy reach.

We will be back to stay at the end of the summer again!

After our last visit 2 years ago, we wrote that it was faultless - and nothing has changed.
We were again made to feel very welcome during our entire stay and nothing was too much trouble for Les and Lynsay; it's their thoughtful and unexpected extras that make Appletree so special.
There was a great choice for breakfast, and again they were helpful with suggestions for eating out at night. Their being members of the Bath Independent Guest Houses Association meant we could get a discount at some independent restaurants, cafes, other retailers and even some museums, which we made good use of.
It's such a good location, about 10 minutes' walk from Bus and Rail Stations and under 10 to the Abbey. Being off the main road, it's quiet too. A few minutes to the back of them is the Kennet and Avon Canal, along which we had a lovely rural walk.

We have just returned from a short mid-week stay in Bath, staying at the Apple Tree Guest House.

Both Lindsey and Les made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout all of our stay there.

The hotel is spotless throughout and the rooms very comfortable. Each day the room was cleaned whilst we were out and the hospitality tray replenished.

Breakfast is first rate and nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of Bath, so you can safely leave your car there during your stay.

Highly recommended!

Les, Lyndsey, and their two adorable children and staff made this the best beginning stay for our month-long trip to the UK. After arriving tired and jet lagged, we were greeted by the ever-cheerful Les and shown our cozy room on the top floor. We had done quite a bit of homework before our trip, so we knew this looked like the best place for us price wise, quality wise, location wise. It did not dissapoint. The "bits and bobs" for tea and snack were wonderful, the room, even though street facing, was quiet and comfy, the breakfast choices absolutely delicious, and the neighborhood lovely and quaint. Walking into town was short, easy, scenic, and fun, and we'd even do it a few times during the day. The room was immaculate, as was the bath, with beautiful new linens and towels. We would definitely stay at the Apple Tree when we return to Bath, and would heartily recommend it to others looking for top value at a good price.

Room Tip: If you need consistent Wifi, choose a room closer to the dining area downstairs. We had no problem...

This is the second time that we have stayed at the Apple Tree and there is no doubt that we will return again. We have no hesitation in recommending it. Les and Lynsay are very welcoming and as soon as you arrive it feels like you are visiting family or very close friends. The bedrooms are very comfortable and well decorated and the additional touches of chocolate and magazines makes them a very pleasant room to stay in.
The location cannot be faulted. You can leave your car behind and a short walk across the Pulteney Bridge means that you can reach the town centre and enjoy all that Bath has to offer, but don't eat too much leave enough room for Lynsay's wonderful breakfasts!

When I went to England in the beginning of September, 2012 with my parents, Bath was our first stop. We stayed here for three nights, and I had the best nights sleep there. The bed and room were the perfect temperature, and the room was quiet and peaceful. I looked forward to waking up every morning to see that wonderful family, and feel welcome to my first stop in a new country. Thank you so much for hosting me and my parents, and introducing me to your lovely children!

Just returned from a great stay at the Apple Tree Guest House. We’ve stayed in Bath many times before and so wish we had discovered this place sooner! Great location, a 5-7 min walk into town with parking just around the corner. Our room was clean and modern with a wonderful power shower and complimentary hot drinks and chocolate– perfect on a cold night.

Les and Lynsay are wonderful hosts, very friendly and I thought it was very kind of them to make arrangements for our late arrival on Friday night, emailing and phoning me beforehand to ensure there were no problems. It’s these small touches that make this place so great. Breakfast was delicious, with both hot and cold options (and even a vegetarian option) to suit everyone. Really can’t fault this place!
