A luxurious, comfortable and welcoming guest house which was a shame to leave. We were impressed by the personal welcome and the facilities in the room - there was nothing to fault! If we had to nitpick (and it is tenuous), the table clearing at breakfast was a bit 'clunky' and broke the ambiance a little. We would definitely stay again and hopefully at their sister property nearby.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary, and it was perfect. Both the breakfast in bed and in the breakfast room were amazing. Really delicious food and multiple offerings of continental breakfast. Buck's Fizz was a nice touch at breakfast. Our room was beautiful and well kept, and they gave us great advice regarding transportation around Bath.

Room Tip: We stayed in a jacuzzi room which was really lovely (Room Number 1).

Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights in April 2013 and we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in room 3 which is one of the smaller rooms but was beautifully decorated with all the mod cons. The ensuite had a great shower and lovely Molton Brown toiletries.
James was our host and was very welcoming and helpful. Including making up a breakfast tray for us as we were leaving very early on Sunday morning for a hot air balloon flight so would miss breakfast. Although we did in the end get back in time so got to enjoy breakfast both Saturday and Sunday mornings!
The breakfast at 139 was freshly cooked with lots to choose from.
Location wise it's excellent. Only 10 mins walk to the town centre or a short taxi ride.
We would definitey stay at 139 again and recommend it to family and friends!

We stayed here for our honeymoon (which was marked with a lovely card and bottle of Prosecco) and we couldn't have picked a better place for it. The room was perfectly proportioned, the bed was fantastic, and my wife could have spent the whole weekend watching TV in bath.
Our welcome was relaxed and friendly and nothing was to much trouble.
Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, and our 11 month old daughter was also fussed over by the staff.
All in all a relaxing stay which was exactly what we needed - Bath is a fantastic city and coming back to this room each night made it all the more special.

We stayed for 3 nights in 3 gorgeous rooms with tasteful decor, four poster beds and MB toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with maps, recommending eateries and booking taxis to the theatre. Couldn't fault the food or service and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great few days.

A fantastic b&b within walking distance of the town centre. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners on arrival with fresh coffee and muffins after our journey! Our room was lovely and spacious on the ground floor, extremely comfortable and clean with some lovely added personal touches. Breakfast was fantastic and cooked to perfection, with a huge variety of options to choose from.
We were recommended to 139 by a family member and can now see why they spoke highly of it. We will definitely return and recommend to others. Thank you for a great stay!

First time leaving a review on Trip Advisor - however this place is really worth taking the time to recommend! We stayed for two nights from Friday 12th - Sunday 14th April for a birthday Spa weekend. The attention to detail from the moment we arrived was what struck us both the most and stood it apart from previous Hotels & B&B's we'd stayed in. The property itself is beautifully kept with a cool, modern interior, our bedroom (we had a superior double) was beautifully presented and very comfy - but the smaller details such as cool Roberts Radio's playing in the lounge area, to the fresh flowers at breakfast and a birthday card and chocolates being left for me all added to an overall experience I don't believe you'd get at many Hotels charging double the price! Wi-Fi throughout, Freeview, Free internet/Email use, DVD's and plenty of Molton Brown goodies were all also great touches. Worth mentioning the breakfast/food was excellent - produce is locally sourced, cooked and presented wonderfully and there is so much choice we were a bit sad we couldn't try out more! Service is also spot on - friendly, efficient, professional and un-intrusive. All in all a really lovely weekend and a superb Boutique B&B which felt more like a Luxury mini Hotel!

By blending our signature style of classical French chic with contemporary modern elements, we are able to offer our guests an extremely comfortable stay and a truly bespoke experience' Take in the sights of our remarkable city, have a lingering lunch, soak in the bubbling hot waters at the Thermae Bath Spa, book an evening show at the beautiful Bath Theatre Royal. Dine out, hit the shops or just lounge like a local - our townhouse has everything you will need for a perfect stay. The views are amazing and the possibilities are endless. Leighton Townhouse offers all the 'mod cons' you would expect from a luxury B&B Townhouse as well as beautiful, comfortable décor.
