Ideal location, just a short (flat) stroll with a 3 year-old into Bath centre. The family room has use of it's own private bathroom just outside the door, however we would have preferred this to be an en-suite - just for that extra privacy. The room my parents had, although slightly smaller, was on the floor below and it had an en-suite shower room. The Family room was no good in the hot weather as it is at the top of the house and the sun blazes in all afternoon - there isn't any air conditioning apart from a noisy fan, which we had to run all night. The fridge was a nice touch but we had to unplug it as it was too noisy at night - and it also contributed to the warmth in the room! The Italian owners are both lovely, although their English wasn't terribly good, we got by! Breakfast was served in the dining room and the good lady of the house was almost "too" attentive - making sure we had everything, making sure our tea was always being topped up, pouring our milk onto cereal scurrying to and fro, etc. It would have been nice to take breakfast outside as the weather was so very hot, however despite the table outside on the patio area, this was not an option, but one that may become available once the owners get a new patio laid. Overall a nice stay despite the price (but I think that's because it is Bath).

We had a long weekend at the Villa Claudia. We have travelled a fair amount over the last few years. This small B & B was the BEST YET of any hotel, that we have stayed in.
The room was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was no disturbance from other guests.
The breakfasts were wonderful. Fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cerials, full English..... whatever you wanted it, it was there.
The walk to town was a very short distance. Although the is a bus stop at the end of the road for one of the towns tours - not to be missed for the views!

I couldn't recommend Villa Claudia high enough, Maria & Carlos ( the owners) are so friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely- clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing. Close enough to the centre of town, a nice stroll away.
So glad we chose Villa Claudia and look forward to returning soon!

Stayed for two nights in the beautiful Villa Claudia on May 4th & 5th, 2010. Had the room with the four poster bed which was very comfortable. The room was large and had plenty of clost space, small refrigerator and TV. The bathroom was also very spacious with a claw footed bath, separate shower, bidet, toilet and sink. This was beautifully decorated. The whole place was absolutely spotless.

The hosts, Maria and Carlo, go out of their way to make you feel like family. Breakfast was really good and when asked, Maria and Carlo recomended some good restaurants to visit.

Just a short stroll down Pulteney Street and you are right in the middle of town. You have to cross Pulteney Bridge and the views are exceptional. While there we found a traditional fish & chip shop called Enzo's. It is on the street at the bottom of Milsom Street - on the way to the Theater Royal. Just eat it right there out of the paper.

I hope to return to Bath in the near future and will definately stay at the Villa Claudia. This has to be the best Bed & Breakfast I have every stayed at.

My younger daughter and I travelled from the U.S to England to visit my older daughter. We all met up at the train station in Bath and had a great weekend sightseeing, walking, shopping, and eating. Villa Claudia was a beautiful place to stay. We had the triple on the top floor, so we had plenty of privacy for our little reunion. The breakfast was great, Maria was super-friendly and helpful, and we were perfectly comfortable.
