Sadly the weather wasn't great but The Hollies was warm and welcoming and we were generously supplied with tea, coffee, biscuits and a flask of proper milk not nasty little sachets. The room was spotless and crammed with fascinating atifacts as we stayed in the Chinese room these all related to China! Interesting information explaining what was there can be found in the room info pack along with hints on places to visit and local restaurants. Breakfast was plentful with lovely fresh fruit as well as the usual cereals followed by full English or whatever particular elements you cared to request cooked freshly to each guest's specification then home made preserves to finish. David and Joe (the owners) were happy to chat and are knowlegeable about the local area. Amber is their beautiful Begal cat and she is equally happy to make you welcome coming to chat during breakfast if you invite her! We didn't get time to explore the library but plan to do that next time we visit.
