“A great experience”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

I booked The Hollies for a night stay when I took my friend to Bath as a wedding treat. From the second we arrived (an hour early) we felt welcome in this homely little gem of a bed and breakfast tucked away in a tranquil garden.

This beautiful regency building has three guest rooms and our room for the night was the Indian room. It was immaculate, charming, comfortable and had everything that we needed. The twin beds were super comfortable and we had a great nights sleep.

The Hollies is a short 15 minutes walk to the city centre but time and care has been taken to make sure guests know how to get to the city..which was much appreciated!

After a busy day and a lovely nights sleep we had a delicious cooked breakfast, freshly made and very tasty! The breakfast spread was perfect. Better than I have experienced in some larger hotels and the dining room is a quirky, elegant setting.

All in all The Hollies is a great place for a getaway to Bath and I would highly recommend it to anyone but in particular couples and pairs of friends looking for a comfortable, welcoming environment with friendly hosts.

We also fell in love with Amber the cat who is a sweetheart.

Thank you 'The Hollies' for having us.

Room Tip: The Indian room is perfect for 2 friends to share. Great views, duel aspect windows and a great size...

David and Jo were so welcoming, the room was delightful in their beautiful home and the breakfasts absolutely delicious. We were reluctant to leave, but can't wait to go back.
We discovered a real treasure.

From the moment I arrived, till sadly I had to take my leave, the two charming, delightful, interested and concerned hosts gave unstintingly of their time if required. The elegance of the secluded graceful house is only surpassed by the wondrous furnishings and warm comfort. Breakfast was top-notch, and with tasty unexpected delights. These experienced owners know just how to do it and so effortlessly that one leaves with reluctance and can't wait to return to see them again, for more of this Nirvana. It is so very, very good.

Recently stayed with david and Jo for 8 nights.
Everything was wonderful - especially the innovative breakfasts!
I have stayed at the Hollies on four different occasions and never been disappointed.
There is free parking available and it is only a 20 minute walk from the city centre. The house is filled with history and it also has a great library if you want to hide away.
I would not hesitate to recommend this fine bed and breakfast.

The English room was comfortable and cosy. Above all, the entire home was clean and well taken care of. The bathroom was sparkling which is a huge thing for me. We had a wonderful time in Bath and really enjoyed staying at The Hollies. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. David and Joe are excellent hosts and treat you more like visiting friends than paying customers. They have great stories to share and Joe's cooking skills are on display at breakfast. My favorite parts were the library and the framed memorabilia in the hallways which allow glimpses into their interesting lives. I am so glad this place met our expectations. A memorable trip for us newlyweds.

The Chinese Room was incredibly comfortable - a terrific sleep!
We hung out with our friends in the cozy library, sipping wine, and catching up - perfect!
The "Full Monty" British breakfast and their home-made preserves were a perfect end to our stay!
(BTW - There was no nudity involved in the "Full Monty" breakfast.)

Tasteful and clean house, cosy atmosphere and very welcoming hosts.

One of the bedrooms was a bit small, but the dining area and bathroom made it up for it.
Do not go away before you visit their library!!!

My family and I really enjoyed our staying there.
