We stayed in the beautiful Saco apartments in Bath on a long weekend to visit our family. It is perfectly situated, close to all the shops and places of interest. The restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. The apartments themselves are excellently equipped, there is everything one could need. They are furnished to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. We found the concierge to be very friendly and helpful. We would unreservedly recommend these apartments and this company to anyone and have already used their services again with the same excellent experience.

Great stay, highly recomended serviced apartments and we will use SACO again elsewhere, based on this experience in Bath.
The apartment we stayed in was a 1 bed, with a large kitchen and living area. Everything worked, was well fitted and clean. Service was great. We booked via www.visitbath.co.uk - think they have a slightly cheaper rate (we paid £110 for a Saturday night). Bath hotels are overpriced so this proved to be great value. There was some noise at night because of a close by pub but it did not keep us awake. Also, it was lovely being able to have a nice romantic dinner in and avoding the usual Saturday night at a restaurant!

We stayed at the Saco Bath for a long weekend away (Fri-Mon). Found the location very easily and parking is a couple of minutes walk away at £12 per day. Our apartment was a one bedroom apartment situated on the ground floor via our own front door. Apartment was spotless and very well equipped with high quaility equipment. A basket of croissants and tea and coffee was left for us as well as milk, butter and mineral water in the fridge, all included. The only quibble (and it is small), being a female, the only mirror was in the bathroom and I had to stand on the bed to check myself before going out to dinner. Bath is really a lovely place to visit and must is to visit the Thermae spa which is a couple of minutes walk away, only wished we had stayed for the 4 hour slot instead of 2. The restaurants in Bath do tend to get booked up at weekends but we managed to find a large range and ate at some very nice places. The front desk would be only to happy to advise and provide maps etc. Overall, we had a great weekend and would definatetly stay at another Saco property. Just to gain that extra space and freedom was great.

The studio apartment was beautifully appointed, large and almost clinically clean. I was on the top floor and there were beams across the ceiling. The only area where someone over 6 foot would struggle was the shower, the rest of the apartment was fine.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and obviously proud of their property. It is a short walk to shops to stock up the kitchen, and a quick stroll into the historic centre and baths. Bath is easy to walk round, but is hilly. It has an excellent range of shops and many are individual retailers rather than big chains.

As other reviewers have commented, don't bring a car into the centre it's more trouble than it's worth. The reason I booked into this apartment was because of the outrageous prices charged in Bath for good quality hotels. I am glad I booked SACO and would definitely use the company again, however, I can't see me returning to Bath. I found it ridiculously expensive with not enough to offer to justify the prices. There are plenty of restaurants and shops, but be prepared to flex the plastic and don't expect great value.

I relunctantly have to agree with other reviewers who have complained about the pub noise at night and loud filthy language of the very young crowd using the pubs around the apartment. If you are looking for a quiet refined stay, this isn't the place. If I was to plan the visit again I would look for a good B&B on the outskirts and travel in to the centre.

This place is smart and comfortable and a good alternative to a hotel (see all the other reviews for more detail)...

But beware, SOME of the rooms are pretty small and shoeboxy. Some of the rooms at the back overlook a row of wheelie bins (overflowing while we were there) and staff having fag breaks - so not really ideal for a romantic weekend in Bath...

If you want somewhere designer with your own kitchen is place is for you, otherwise you might want to try for a £39 room at the Travelodge?...

Just hada couple of nights at the SACO - great idea and wonderful, clean apartment with plenty of facilities and friendly staff. Big problem though - no car park. You can't park on the street in Bath unless you are a local with a permit or pay and display and only stay for an hour at a time with no return for at least an hour. Another alternative is to put the car in a car park at ~£20 per day and have to take it out of a night (you can park on the street after 18:00 hours - if you can find a space) or as we did (on the advice of a local Bobby) park it a very long walk away (1/2 mile up Widcombe Hill - which is VERY steep). Returned to car (left parked under a street lamp) to find that some joker had walked across the roof and left large dents in the car.

I always thought Bath was going to better than it was but Roman Baths were expensive (£11.50 each to get in) and they even wanted a £1 to enter a park down by the river.

All in all - SACO was great - Bath itself was a let down - won't be going back.
