The downside of Trip Advisor is that when you share a good find it might be booked next time you want to go. Oh well! This B&B lived up to its billing from previous reports - you always hope that will be the case but you never know. Ideal location, very pleasant staff, very clean property, a lounge with Sky TV, DVDs to borrow for the TV/DVD in your bedroon, White Company toiletries, a road parking permit if you want to stay on beyond your check-out time and a great breakfast including fresh fruit and cooked to order hot breakfast (I missed not having fried bread but few places do this nowadays and the muffin was lovely). Could have done with a king-sized bed as we are both tall but that is a very minor issue and did not cause us a problem as were only there for one night. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Only 5 rooms so not really an issue. I think some rooms do have king-size beds, which some may pref...

Wow! Just, wow. We stayed for 4 nights at Chestnuts and it was probably the best B&B we've stayed at. Tony, the owner, was fantastic, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. My wife is wheat and dairy intolerant - we mentioned this in advance (mostly so we could put our soya milk in the fridge) and, when we arrived, discovered that he had stocked up on soya milk, gluten free muesli, wheat-free bread and dairy-free marg! Brilliant! A little soya milk was even left in our room for making tea - what a lovely touch.

The room was very comfortable, and the heating works really well and is fully adjustable. It was spotless everyday when we returned each evening and Chestnuts even had off-road parking. It's very close to the centre of bath (only 10 minutes walk) in a lovely neighbourhood. Definitely would stay again and have recommended it.

Room Tip: We had a superior room which had a great ensuite bathroom. Great shower!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Chestnuts in Bath.
It is a truly superb place to stay in one of my favourite cities in the UK. The ground floor room we were allocated was excellent in every way and the breakfast was one of the best we have had. Tony the owner couldn't have been more helpful. We are hoping to come back to Bath pretty soon and we will certainly be booking the Chestnuts for our accommodation. It's a no brainer as my kids would say !!!

Beautifully furnished B&B with amazing rooms and aromatherapy toiletries. Wonderful a la carte breakfast. Owner extremely helpful. Off street parking available on site. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Superb. Friendly host, who is also very informative about local museums and attractions. Our room was furnished with excellent taste - Laura Ashley and John Lewis, and colour-co-ordinated. Excellent English breakfast. 10 minutes easy, flat walk into Bath centre. Bath is a beautiful city, with good shopping and excellent museums, one of which is about 3 minutes walk from Chestnuts House. Stonehenge just over half an hour away. Chestnuts is highly recommended if you like comfort and style and to be in easy walking distance of the city centre but without the noise.

2 friends and I recently stayed at Chestnuts House in Bath and it was the best place we stayed in England (we stayed at 6 different B&Bs during our vacation). The house was clean, well located and had a great breakfast. Tony greeted us upon arrival and was continuously the best host you could ask for. He gave great restaurant recommendations, advice on activities to do in the area and was extremely helpful for the next leg of our trip which was the Cotswolds. I have traveled all over the world and this is one of the best all around places I stayed.

A perfect place to stay a few minutes walk from the centre of Bath. Nice decor and warm and cosy bedroom with absolutely gorgeous food for breakfast and a good choice all cooked to perfection ! Bath is amazing with lots to do - there is a free guided walk which we would recommend. Bath also has lots of good shops, pubs and restaurants making it a perfect place to visit. Three days is not enough so we will definitely be back.
