“Highly recommended self catering accommodation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in the self catering apartment which had everything we needed including a private patio garden. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to have control of the heating thermostat as one doesn't always have that luxury. We were greeted and waved off by the very pleasant and helpful owners. There is also free WiFi! The apartment was in a brilliant location. We would like stay again and would recommend. There is no such thing as a cheap hotel in Bath and here is no different but as the experience was so good, I can't complain!

We stayed here for two nights and were impressed by the accessibility into town, the wonderful breakfast and the power shower! No problem parking nearby with the resident's permit provided by Peter. Our room was domestic in scale but had everything we needed. I agree about the busy road but the double glazing is very effective and the traffic calms down early enough not to disturb your sleep. The breakfast was well cooked and tasty with plenty of choice including hot vegetarian option. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but not a real problem

I stayed for four days recently. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was a cut above. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is very good--only a short walk to the center (including the railway station). I would definitely stay here again. A great value!

We've been staying here for years. Book early because the Radnor is popular and rightly so. It's a level 5 minute walk into town, in a quiet location at night. If you ask for a back bedroom you won't get any of the road noise, but that tends to peter out after rush hour anyway. We vary the walk into town by sometimes going across the bridge into North Parade or taking the side road just past the pub opposite, which goes round the back of the cricket ground and along the canal, bringing you out at the weir by the Pulteney Bridge.

The b&b is spotlessly clean, warm and the beds are very comfortable. Peter and Jane are really nice people. There's a selection of Bath Life magazines for you to read in the room, all the usual tea and coffee making equipment plus biscuits, TV, good quality towels, plenty of pillows and storage space, all you need for a shower including a cap, a hair dryer and lots of hot water, and somewhere other than a bed to sit on.

Breakfasts, served between 8 and 9 am, are plentiful and excellent. There's a good assortment of cereals, a variety of French breakfast pastries, fruit salad, yoghurts, a choice of cooked breakfasts, toast with jams, marmite, etc. If you have any dietary requirements these are accommodated if you give them a bit of warning. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for them. The English breakfasts are NOT at all greasy. I had scrambled egg and smoked salmon on a muffin and it was delicious. All they ask is that you make a note the night before which breakfast you'd like. It just makes life a little easier for them.

I cannot recommend this b&b enough. Don't consider staying anywhere else in Bath.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you're a light sleeper. Room 3 has a double and a single bed in it...

This place is a gem! We stayed in the apartment for two nights, which has all you need including central heating, king sized bed with duvet and two pillows each, shower room with power shower and plenty of hot water, separate living/ dining area with dining table, comfortable settee, TV and DVD, separate fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge/ freezer, full sized oven with gas hob and good supply of pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. Outside there is a south facing patio garden that catches the sun and there is even free wifi with excellent strength. Location-wise it is great too with approx. 10 minutes level walk to the station or centre of town and the Abbey. Peter is the perfect host and will make you feel welcome!

Excellent quality B&B. Spotlessly clean. Fantastic breakfast, especially the delicioius fresh fruit salad. Very good location for both Bath Spa railway station and the city centre. Front rooms do have a lot of noise from the main road outside, but advantages outweigh this drawback.

Room Tip: Superior twin bedded room is at the front, so there is a lot of road noise.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights. On arrival, we were immediately provided with a parking permit. There was plenty of parking about. The owners are not at all stingy with heating, and the room was toasty warm when we arrived (you can of course adjust to suit yourself).

The bed is really cosy and you won't want to get up in the morning - but you really must get up for the delicious breakfast! There's a choice of fruits, yogurts, cereals, pastries and juice as well as a cooked breakfast (which is really good quality; free range eggs and all that). It will keep you full for ages. They also provide the usual little kettle with tea and coffee in the room.

The room was so clean that I doubt even my mother could find fault with it, and the shower is really nice. The room was quite compact, so if you're into giant rooms you may not like this particular room, but it suited us very well.

It really is a very short walk into the town, and the walk is well-lit so there's no bother walking back in the evening.

I'd definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 2 which is around the back. If you're a light sleeper, like I am, you won'...
