We had a very comfortable three night stay at Abbey Rise. The owner Katherine was very welcoming and helpful. We had the family room at the top of the house which was tastefully furnished and decorated and very clean. The breakfasts were freshly made with plenty of variety and options for vegetarians and gluten free diets (requested by other guests also staying there). Katherine provided home made cakes during the day, which was a nice touch. It was just a short walk into town, so we could leave the car in the carpark until we left. We would recommend this to others looking for a short break in Bath.

The B&B is situated next to the city center and is a good value.
The room was nice and clean.
The bathroom was small and we had a problem with the sink.
The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice.
The staff was nice but not that friendly.

We stayed in Abbey Rise for 2 days and had a good time. Katherine, the owner, is very friendly ands gives good advices about Bath. The rooms are charming, the house has character. In the morning all the guests have a healthy and fresh breakfast together at one table. We know for sure that we'll be back here.

We stayed for the bank holiday weekend at the end of August, the B&B is very well looked after, however there were no toiletries in the bathroom. Our bed was very large and we had a good sleep on it despite the noise from the traffic on the main road outside. It's a shame as in general it's a good B&B but the breakfast time is only between 8 and 9 and it offers only continental breakfast, whilst other B&Bs for the same rate offer a wider variety. Basically we ended up having a lie-in instead and having breakfast somewhere in Bath...

I stayed in this B7B for two night and it was more that I expected. I read a very good reviews here and at Lonely Planet, but still what we found was more that that. It is beautiful, clean, friendly, fun... Just perfect place to stay while in Bath.

Abbey Rise was the best B&B my sister and I stayed at during out 12 day england/ireland holiday! Katherine was fantastic, her son Alex the cutest little poppet who got a kick out of our american accents. Our room was fantastic. We were greated with juice and the most wonderful biscuts. The room was wonderfully appointed with down comforters, heat towel bar in the bathroom, and the fluffliest towels i've ever used. It was a true pleasure to meet Katherine, who went out of her way to give up muffins and juice to take with us when we had to leave before breakfast to catch a flight a very early.
It was also very convient to walk down to the center of town. The off street parking provided indeed is a bonus in bath were parking is at a premium. I look forward to returning to Abbey Rise in the future.

We stayed for 2 nights with my husband and my baby 14 months old. The wellcome, eventhough we arrived a bit late, was very friendly and she had already arranged a cot in the room. The room was beautifully decorated, every little detail was of an exquisite taste, and you could feel that the ower, Katherine Dewhurst, devoted a lot of time to make it so special. Everything was scrupulously clean. Breakfast was perfect, all the food of the best quality and beautifully cooked: a wide range from a vegetarian to tipical english breakfast was available. She had also prepared a highchair for our child in the breakfastroom, so comfortable. We could felt like at home. Thanks!
