A very short trip to Bath in January 2013 (one night) was enough to experience the excellency of this B&B. Katherine made us feel at home and we had a very pleasant stay. Located close to the city centre (only 10 minutes on foot), it is ideally placed to discover Bath's main attraction: the thermal pools.
The room we had was neat, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was a great time to catch up with Katherine and chat about how a B&B is run and how Bath works as a city.

Room Tip: The en-suite rooms are very nice to have.

We had a night stay at Abbey Rise in Jan 2013. Very welcoming and homely. Katherine made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Our room was very cosy with a comfy bed. We wish we had an extra night or two there! Great selection of new DVDs and books. Pleasantly surprised by the yummy home-made cake left for guests to help themselves to. Would definitely recommend to friends and will stay there again when we return to Bath.

I recently (December 2012) stayed at Abbey Rise with my family for a few nights. Katherine was absolutely lovely and welcoming, and made us feel so comfortable and at home as she was so friendly and chatty. We had booked all three rooms and they were all cosy and quaint and clean. The English breakfast every morning was yummy and there was also a nice selection of cereals and fresh fruit, and homemade marmalade for your toast! Katherine is the perfect host and we will definitely want to stay here again should we ever return to Bath.

We have recently returned from a two night stay at Abbey Rise. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Katherine. Nice touches with the DVD library and home made yummy cakes left on a cake stand on the landing. Our room (no 4) was very clean, cosy, extremely comfortable and with lovely across Bath. Breakfast was superb and made more enjoyable due to all guests being seated around one large table. We were always last to leave the breakfast table due to chatting with Katherine and her friends who had arrived. We were never rushed to leave the table. Perfect location with only a five min walk into Bath. Off road private parking is a bonus. We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Bath and we will certainly be booking again for next year.

I stayed in Abbey Rise for four nights in August and I think you couldn’t stay in a better place. There is some off-site parking about 100 yards away. The top room is a bit small, but it had everything I needed. And there is plenty of hot water. They cook a good breakfast.
Location-wise, it is mightily convenient because it is just 10 minutes walk to the city centre.

I stayed at abbey rise with my husband from the 20th to the 22nd of July 2012. it was very clean, comfortable, inviting, and Colin was a fantastic host! It was lovely to have met him! The room was a great size with lovely views overlooking Bath and a sizeable en-suite. It's only a five minute walk from the city, which was very handy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Bath.
