Description: TWO SHOPS IN ONE We have a 'cheese shop' with a range of delicious treats, and a café with our own chefs. Our 'cheese shop' groans with artisan cheeses, and great food and wine, some of which you can't buy anywhere else. Our own chefs make everything from scratch - from flaky pastry sausage rolls to chewy pistachio macaroons. We will prepare you a cheese plate from what is in season. Why not graze as you browse?. You may shop in the 'cheese shop' for Keen's Cheddar, our own onion chutney, farmhouse butter and Hobbs House bread, or have them made for you into a sandwich, served with a cappuccino or a glass of wine. OUR STREET FOOD On nights where you simply don't have time to cook, let The Fine Cheese Co. prepare you a feast. Drop into our Walcot Street shop and pick up a delicious, homemade meal a for fuss-free dinner. Alternatively, when those hunger pangs hit at lunch time, grab something from our range to eat al-desko, or alfresco if you are lucky enough! Our chefs Laurent, Julian and Tess have created a Street Food Menu that will change twice a month. The menu includes three dishes that work together perfectly as well as on their own, and a selection of freshly baked pastries, tarts as well as our daily Spanish Tortilla.

but the food is really good. Admittedly I only had a BLT sandwich and a cup of tea but it was a superb sandwich with gloriously fresh bread and tasty crispy bacon. service was fast and very friendly. An excellent stop when out shopping. I can also highly recommend the cheese shop itself. They have a wonderful selection of cheese and cheese related products and the staff are knowledgeable. I would particularly recommend their pickled onions!

As both my partner and I love cheese we decided to locate the shop whilst on our long weekend in Bath and so on the last day we decided to buy some cheeses to take home. A delightful Hungarian lady served us and before purchasing we were able to taste the cheeses - we were particularly interested in the local cheeses and bought a good selection. What a wonderful shop such a pity we live so far away. Unfortunately we did not have time to stop for coffee but would certainly visit again when coming to Bath.

Tucked away opposite the Hilton, this is an eclectic mix of cheese shop and cafe. As a previous report suggests, the cafe, which is spread over two or three rooms, could do with a bit of TLC and paint. That said, the food was very good, especially their cheese souffle.

And a great place to have a snack, but lets just look a little deeper, service is questionable, admittedly you have to stand in line and know what you want, slight problem if your chosen menu has run out, you have start the queue again, hey ho a pity no one explains the rules.
As cheese is the theme of this cafe you would expect the staff to have an inkling of what it is they are serving, but no, we were told that the waiter was new and he had no idea what he was serving, in my world this is called training, someone new needs to be trained before they start, it gives the customers confidence. Unable to comment on the menu as the dishes we selected were out of stock, the real test is would I return, sorry to say it but I would rather seek another place....

We are regulars here at this stage. Lovely food, great atmosphere, fabulous staff, comfy surroundings. Great place to meet friends and to pick up some delicious cheese to take home. Highly recommended.
