Positives :

- Great city centre location
- Pleasant rooms and a comfortable bed
- Historic / characterful building
- Good value

Negatives :

- No lift so a bit of climb up to the top floor

Overall, very pleased with our night here. Thanks very much and if we come back to Bath for a weekend trip, we would stay here again

Room Tip: Top floor rooms, while a bit of a climb up the steps, are probably the quietest

Stayed here for a romantic weekend and it was a very nice stay. Great location, right in the centre of town which might be off putting for some as it can get very busy on the weekend and a bit noisy outside. The parking is a bit of a pain but no real hassle if you dont mind a 5 minute walk and a cheap rate to leave your car.

Yes the stairs are a challenge with bags but again no real problem for us. Staff were very good, polite and helpful and the breakfast in Lock Fyne restaurant was excellent. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms very clean. All in all we thought this offered great value and a great location and we would certainly go back.

Milsoms Hotel is part of Lock Fyne Restaurant Chain. The Hotel is situated right in the middle of Bath with easy access for shopping and sightseeing. The Hotel itself is GradeII listed and was formerly a Bank. As it is listed there is no lift and anyone unable to climb many stairs should ask for rooms on the first floor. The rooms are asccessed by a winding staircase. It is worth asking if help could be provided with luggage - we did not so cannot say whether this would be offered. The room was clean and comfortable - plenty of really hot water. Only downside (small gripe)- bnote was that shower caps are not provided which is awkward as it is a central showerhead. The staff are really helpful and friendly and will go that extra mile to help customers - for instance my daughter-in-law was not comfortable on her bed and when she explained this the Housekeeper arranged for a topper to go on the mattress and a good night's sleep ensured. Although this is in the centre of the City the rooms are well insulated and traffic noise minimal. We ate in the Restaurant 1 night - food was good and the staff attentive and friendly. I would certainly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: our front room on 2nd floor front was insulated from traffic noise

Stayed here for a birthday treat ! Excellent location above loch fyne restaurant ! Excellent food, only two issues to tell all about ! Be fit if you get a room on the top floor ! Three flights of stairs to climb with bags is very difficult !!! No lift !!! And the other is parking, you have to drop off bags then go and park which is a 10 min walk £8.50 for twelve hour stay ! But would ask for a lower floor next time ! But all worth it
