My partner & I visited the Thermae Bath Spa whilst we were staying in Bath for the Christmas markets.

We came on Monday morning as we were told it can get very busy and it was £38pp for a 2 hour use of the facilities.

First impressions were very good and the reception area was warm & welcoming & we instantly felt relaxed.

You receive a wristband for your locker and are provided with slippers and robes.

We went straight to the roof top pool which was amazing. The water was so warm and relaxing. Afterwards we visited the wellness suite which included a Roman steam room, Georgian steam room, Infared room, Ice chamber, Experience showers & Relaxation room.

The building was spotless in each section and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

I’d recommend visiting if you’re looking for some relaxation time!

We went to the Cross bath. We made a reservation same day on Sat morning for 6:00 no line to wait in and a small taste of the tradition people have experienced over the centuries

We just felt being in Bath meant we had to spend some time in a thermal bath, so we lined up and paid for a Thermae Welcome, £36 weekdays and £40 on weekends. This provides two hours access to the Minerva Bath inside and the open-air rooftop pool, as well as the Wellness Suite — a floor with numerous steam rooms, a relaxation room, an infrared room, and an ice-chamber. The fee also includes use of a towel, robe, and flip-flops. And they do add about 15 minutes for changing so that you’re not wasting your paid time. They maintain the pools at 33.5 degrees C, so not quite as hot as some hot springs, but still much warmer than the air on the day we were there. Oh, and I didn’t know the word SPA is associated with the Latin phrase “sales per aquam” or “health through water”. How about that!

My husband and I loved the Thermae Bath Spa experience. The weather was a little chilly and damp but that didn't stop so many people from enjoying the outdoor, rooftop heated pool. There are plenty of spa amenities inside to enjoy...my favorite was the star gazing room. Thermae can be done for a few hours or you can spend the entire day there to enjoy treatments, the amenities and having a bite. Worth it, you don't want to leave!

What a great post-Christmas treat. Time using the facilities at Thermae Bath Spa plus a wonderful aromatherapy massage. Fab!
Loaned a towelling robe, slip-on shoes to wear at all times and a towel for drying... changing rooms a tad disconcerting because the doors open either side of your cubicle and if you step out the opposite side to where you enter it can be confusing or even disorienting. Really it would be simple to colour the lockers on different sides to make the place easier to negotiate and know your whereabouts.
The day we went a lift was out of order so that meant traipsing upstairs to the rooftop pool and waiting until one lift arrived for descent when we wanted to leave.
Steam rooms and sauna very good. Hanging space for robes, not quite so. Robes not easy to identify as all the same - again, a simple colour code and number on pocket could simplify instead of people rifling through pockets to find their robe with a pack of tissues in the pocket!
Highlight for me was the massage. Loved being asked to choose which oils felt right for me. And the massage was delightful.... as always never long enough!! We were told we had three hours here altogether but taking out the hour for massage felt the time was rather measly. The only way to get more time was to spend money in the restaurant... not what we'd gone there for. But the spa and especially the massage a-maz-ing! Thank you.
