Owner description: Thermae Bath Spa is Britain's only natural thermal Spa and benefits from the warm, mineral-rich waters which the Celts and Romans enjoyed over 2,000 years ago. Located in the heart of the World Heritage city of Bath, Thermae is a remarkable combination of five historic buildings and the contemporary architecture of the New Royal Bath. Highlights include the open-air rooftop pool with wonderful views over the city of Bath, the flowing curves of the Minerva Bath, the multi-sensory Wellness Suite and a choice of over 50 spa treatments and packages.

We had a great time relaxing in the pools and the steam room and there was nothing "not to like". It was incredibly windy on the day we went but because the water was so warm it didn't spoil our enjoyment though we did on occasions get blasted by water spray. I imagine it's just as nice on a wet day.

Went today Friday morning very enjoyable and relaxing. We went for three hours which was the perfect amount of time there with out any treatments. I am not sure what all the negative reviews are about as all the staff were very friendly and it was spotlessly clean.

Went to Bath last weekend and you must do the Thermae Spa. A lot of people queue up for the twilight session at 17:00 but we went in at 4 on a Sunday afternoon queued for about 5 mins. Went in the downstairs pool, used the steam rooms and then went up to the rooftop for the open air pool. Excellent it was just starting to get dark, you could see the planes taking off and landing at Bristol airport, sky was clear sun was setting, Bath Cathedral just lighting up. All that would be missing was a glass of champagne. Not cheap at £33 each with towel and robe but defiantly a must do you have two hours in the baths which is more than plenty.

We had a pleasant couple of hours here in the steam rooms and the rooftop and indoor pools, though I did get very sunburnt on the roof even though it was very overcast. The main issue is the number of people! We visited on a Friday morning during term time and it was completely rammed! It does stop it being very relaxing as you are just surrounded by far too many people, unable to lean against the edge of the pool! Still worth a visit though if you are in the area.

We've been to the Spa before and didn't really rate it then, but thought we should try again to see if we were just unlucky last time. We went for a 4 - 6pm spa session and then had a massage each at 7pm. The steam rooms are about the best thing in the Spa itself. The layout is great (although I don't know why the poster telling you which room is which scent is outside the room!!), the roof pool was absolutely pack - you could hardly move. It was like some sort of strange soft porn movie up there, it was full of couples all snogging each other. I'm really not against romance, but it was a bit uncomfortable! The pool downstair was nice, but again was so busy you could hardly move in it. Our best experience by far was the massages, they were excellent, the staff were great and the treatments were very relaxing. The changing rooms & shower experience was just grim. The showers are 2 floors down from the changing rooms, this means you have to take at least all your toiletries and clean underwear with you but there is no where to hang any of it so keeping your pants dry is virtually impossible! It's a shame that after you've had a lovely massage you come out to something that makes your local municipal swimming pool changing rooms look like luxury!
