“Lovely little find”

On a day trip to bath, we came across this tea room at just the right time. Its very small (not a complaint) and managed to get a seat as people were leaving. We loved the quirky theme, being a big fan of Alice In Wonderland. The staff we friendly and and big food portions! It made for a lovely lunch

“A lovely place!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I went for lunch here at the weekend with a friend, was a great little place and the food was fabulous and very reasonable! We had the afternoon tea and both sandwiches and scones were fab! Friendly staff too! It is a little on the small side though! When we arrived there were no free tables but another customer let us sit on his table as he had nearly finished his coffee. For people coming in after us staff were asking them to come back in a bit and then reserving them a table as soon as they could! So an excellent and friendly service and I plan on returning soon!! x

“Perfect little cafe - not to be missed!!”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

We loved this place so much we kept coming back! The staff are absolutely lovely, the food was delicious (try the pear cake - best cake EVER!) and the prices were reasonable. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful & the atmosphere was brilliant. If we lived in bath I can guarantee we would be regulars.

“Unfair Review”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

I am the Customer who helped the Duty Manager when he had a problem with the till roll. Darren is a nice Guy, I have known him for years, having worked with him in the travel and tourism industry. For My sins I have been a manager in the food retail/restaurant business, I have used a till very similar to this one, i knew how to put the till roll in. Darren didn't know how then, but he does now, lesson learned, wheres the big deal?
It shows courage to admit we don't know everything, we should all be like Manuel on 'Fawlty towers' and 'know nothing'. Life could take a whole new direction, meaning and purpose for us all...
As for feeling hassled or intimidated by the Duty Managers behaviour? no way, get to know someone before making snap decisions. I still use The Mad Hatters Tea Party, I feel disappointed that The Cafe got an unfair review...
Peace from Merlin aka Dave.

Called in based on the TA review. Did not disappoint. Will make a point of going there again next time we are in Bath.
