What a fabulous experience we had at lunch with Gordon. A veritable voyage of discovery for the three of us and our tastebuds. It resembled a cullinary Alice in Wonderland adventure, never knowing what the next experience was going to be. It certainly did not disappoint.

A memorable experience - don't miss it - especially the wine flight. Staff were very competent and informative.

I have to say, this is one of best dining experiences we have had to date. The amazing detail in the food, the taste experience and the absolute attention to detail where in one word 'superb' My partner had the wine flight and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience of having each individual wine desribed in depth. The setting is very relaxed and not at all precosious and although the tables are set quite close it still feels intimate. The one regret is I cannot remember in detail what was included in each delightful course as there were so many wonderful elements to them. It would be wonderful if we could have taken away a menu at the end of the night. I know the menu changes regularly, but just a hand written one for each table to take away after such a memorable evening would be the icing on the cake. Definitely one to re visit and re visit again.

I'm not a fan of expensive "fine dining" as a rule, but was taken here by friends, as a special treat. The restaurant is not cheap by any means, but the meal we had there on a Saturday evening (advance booking and planning essential!) was simply superb. There's no menu - you just sit down and they bring you a series of tasting dishes. There are several starters, fish, meat, sweet etc which are presented to you in turn. Each is explained, so you know what you are eating. The textures, flavours and combinations (some very surprising!) were simply astonishing. I just couldn't find fault with any of it. There is a list of wines and bottled craft beers to accompany your meal. You'll need to remain seated when you finally get the bill, but for a special occasional treat, a really amazing experience. What a great chef!

Went for my 50th as part of a weekend in Bath, managed to book 8 days before and it was a suitably memorable experience, ate things I had never tried before and loved it all. Relaxed not snooty and the best food ever.
