I have been to the Fashion Museum several times supervising school trips. This was my wife's first time, however, so I gamely went again.
The entrance fee is fairly steep at £7.50 (although this does include entrance to the ball room and assembly hall as well) but what annoyed me was the so-called 'concession' charge of £6.75 - giving students and pensioners the grand discount of 75p!
Inside the exhibitions ranged from the dated (some haven't changed at all for years) to the very up-to-minute (a fairly interesting display showing sporting fashion through the ages). The best bit is the 'behind the scenes' look at the museum, as this brings the collections to life somewhat. The rest of the presentation is fairly stilted, based around one meandering corridor.
If you're into fashion you might find it a bit tame, but overall an enjoyable enough forty-or-so minutes.
