“Fantastic stay,will defitently be back!!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

We had the pleasure of staying in Henrietta House recently when at our friends wedding in Bath. From the minute we arrived here we fell in love with the place!! The girl at the reception was so friendly and helpful to us,and even helped carried in our luggage. The room was spotless, spacious and just beautiful. We felt so comfortable here. The breakfast both mornings was excellent. I have not one thing to fault about this beautiful guest house. We will defitently be back and would recommend it to anyone. We had a fantastic few days in Bath thanks to Henrietta House!

When staying at Henrietta House one feels as cosseted and comfortable as when visiting an old friend--if you're lucky enough to have friends with great taste in art and architecture and who know how to make you feel immediately at home. The building has been brought beautifully back to life, with lovely architectural details enhanced with art and antiques. Our room was spacious and nicely lighted and though it faced the street it was surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was well appointed and large by hotel standards. And I can't say enough about the breakfast--homemade pastry and jams, muesli, yogurt, eggs and crepes to order--truly we we spoilt for choice. We look forward to returning soon.

1st time visitors to Bath , we picked this hotel for location. Its very central and a short stroll to the river and town centre.
On arrival our car was parked for us - we had paid for car parking - and our bags unloaded. The welcome was first class.
The hotel is a listed building and has loads of character. Reception was probably the front room of a the house in the olden days and is lovely. The room, a standard double, was very clean and tidy with a good sized toilet/shower room. The room wasnt huge but ample for 2 with all mod cons - TV , tea/coffee facilities etc.
Reception was v helpful in giving us directions and on our return later that evening we had a G&T in the reception room and a lovely chat to the receptionist. The staff all seem to be early 20s and intelligent - 2 were multilingual , spanish and german , all had perfect english and a clear desire to help with information and also nice to chat to.
Breakfast was superb- huge choice of organic and local produce - nice buffet selection on top of cooked offering. Again the staff were so pleasant and accomodating.

A great hotel - handily placed with superb staff, a lovely historic building and a good breakfast.

Only downside was no aircon - it was 30 degrees and a bit hot , but the chances of that in England is small so dont be put off.

If you are going to Bath then this hotel is a must

We only had the pleasure of staying at Henrietta House for one night, but it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. From the yummy little biscuits and fruit in our room on our arrival to the most helpful staff who gave us plenty of recommendations of places to eat and things to visit.
Believe the hype - it really is that good. And the breakfast too!

My daughter and I arrived 30 minutes earlier than check in, as it was pouring & we came by train. Although our room wasn't ready (no surprise, we were early!) the lady at reception could not have been nicer - she made us tea and coffee, offered us croissants, chatted with us about things to see and do in Bath, and made us feel so welcome whilst we waited till the room was available just before 2.
The twin room (21) was great, with a lovely bathroom. A wide range of teas and coffees, plus filtered water, biscuits and fruit all available to us (which was very welcome, as I was staying with a 7 year old, so back in our room quite early in the evening!)
Breakfasts were extraordinary and totally delicious, brought by the loveliest staff. Special 'cheers' for the wonderful home made strawberry and rhubarb jam.
A wonderful stay, not the cheapest place to stay, but absolutely worth the money. The building is steeped in history, and situated so close to Bath centre, close to the beautiful, historic Pulteney Bridge. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

Room Tip: 12 is a double room

The efficiency, friendliness, and industry of the management and staff were evident in virtually every aspect of our stay--from the welcome and escort to our lovely and comfortable room, to assistance with orientation to Bath and its environs, to an ample breakfast with homemade jam and pastries in a bright and well-served dining room. In addition to being properly cared for, however, we were delighted to be embraced by a beautifully preserved/renovated Georgian building in the very heart of Bath with modern ensuite baths and furnished with a large collection of original paintings that could have come from an art gallery in London or New York. We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: From poking our heads into several rooms, we noted that they varied in size from adequate to commodi...

My family and I recently had the most perfect stay at Henrietta House! We really liked the look of it on the trip advisor and home page pictures, so we decided to see if it kept its promise.
I’m more than happy to say that it did!!  We got such a warm welcome accompanied by a cup of tea after which we were taken into one of their absolutely LOVELY superior rooms.  Huge bed, lovely big windows and the perfect furniture for such a lovely Georgian townhouse!
Breakfast was brilliant! Not only the best we’d come across so far but also such a great start to the day with so many choices and a more than welcome “nobody leaves the table hungry/all you can eat” policy. We ordered the omelette with salmon, the crepes, the full English, had freshly made fruit salad… to our heart’s content.
The proximity to the town centre, although a very important attribute, ended up being secondary to all the great things Henrietta House has to offer.
We would all like to thank the staff at Henrietta House for making us feel like the only guests there and like nothing was too much to ask. Although we did get to see most of Bath, you definitely made it worth coming back!!
