The hotel doesn't look at all like the pictures. It's almost a fraud. Dirty, wall paper falling of. Beds not possible to sleep in. We checked in and checked out within an hour. We went to another hotel even though we got no refunding. That says a lot about the state of the place.

Booked via booking.com on the day, know Bath well so location was very good as is the fact they offer parking free sunday - thursday; we booked sunday to tuesday. However the sun was out summer had arrived in the uk and the hotel is NOT designed for the few weeks of summer, rooms were hot as hell. We stayed one night hotel/booking.com is refunding the other night. Feel we should have been refunded our stay as well because hotel did not offer the one thing you book a hotel for especially at a travellers location a 'good nights rest' . Staff apologetic. Hotel with booking.com could have done better.

The hotel is in an excellent location but it is all down hill after this, being completely run down with dated decor. The room we stayed in had no ventilation/fans and was the hottest and most humid room we have ever stayed in ( I slept!!! naked on top of the sheets by the windows which were open as far as was possible). It was cooler outside in the shade. The parking is a joke, 12 places supposedly, more like 8. We watched cars come & double/triple park. One Spanish group took 20 mins & multiple three point turns at the direction of one gentleman to get into a spot ( I learnt Spanish listing to him continually repeat directions over & over as he guided their car into a very tight spot. (God knows how they later got out). A German couple had to virtually touch other cars to finally escape after half an hour. After we had parked in undoubtedly the only good spot we left it there throughout our stay (we dare not do any other). We were lucky though on departing as a workman's van had parked in front of us and so left early. We could have possibly been kept waiting hours for cars to move, as the hotel as no idea who they belong too.

A dirty and shabby hotel, - the state of the sign says it all.
Heating was on the whole time and temperature outside was almost 30 degrees!!
Walls were paper thin
Stained bedsheets
Not relaxing
No extract from bathroom or window
I would not stay again or recommend.
Okay for a stag doo!!

Room Tip: choose somewhere else!

Stayed here in the start of june, and was shocked to find that the lock on door never worked so i had to take a bag with my laptop and anything i had of value with me around the city which i really was not impressed with. The room was far too hot and stuffy and very unpleasant which made sleeping a nightmare. The floor was stained and the decor was very very dated. the worst part was the bathroom which had mold growing on the roof completely disgusting and unacceptable, the toilet and shower both had dirty marks all round it very unpleasant to look at, and as i had stayed a few nights before in the University on Bath Student Accommodation which Fantastic it made this place look very rubbish and worn down. Redcar is in need of some serious money injection to get this place in to shape because it is not acceptable for mold to be growing in rooms

Room Tip: just don't go here

Once a beautiful Georgian townhouse completely left to become a run down, dirty hotel. The room we stayed in had dreadful decor (purple walls, brown bedding and maroon carpet)! It was possibly the hottest and most humid room ever known with no ventilation or means of cooling it down, the walls were all stained and you could only fill the kettle using the shower! Staff didn't care and spent much of their time smoking and playing computer games at the front desk. Could be beautiful and located in an ideal location. The lounge lobby area was so dated with old dirty mugs left about. Very random place indeed!

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms possibly cooler

The location was excellent and the staff friendly however the room was too stuffy and would benefit with more windows or air conditioning this also meant the room was dark. I was on the first floor so can't imagine how hot the second floor was!!!!
Shower was also powerful a positive but it felt like every time someone in the hotel flushed the toilet or turned on a tap the water wet scalding.
I wouldn't say it was terrible as others have however I don't think I'd stay here again.
