Description: Our inspiration for the food and design of Cote is a modern interpretation of the many famous bistros of Paris. Inspired by new trends, we are dedicated to serving authentic classic brasserie dishes with a modern twist, using high quality produce at great prices. On the menu, guests will always find brasserie favourites on our a la carte menu such as steak frites, moules marinieres, corn-fed chicken from rural Brittany and tuna Nicoise, for dessert, Cote's creme caramel and creme brulee are much-loved house specialities. Seasonality and Cote's commitment to sourcing high-quality ingredients results in a monthly changing specials menu, ensuring there is always something new to delight regular guests and gastronomes alike, as well as the excellent value set menu. Open early every day for breakfast, through to lunch and dinner; Cote's atmosphere is informal and friendly.

“Give yourself a treat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

We often visit this restaurant, which is situated within an interesting multi level development of shops and restaurants just off Milsom Street; and contains several other eating places and upmarket boutiques.
The restaurant is on two levels with an outside terrace for the better weather. Several of the restaurants here have tables outside, which are usable for most of the year, given the sheltered nature of the scheme.
Having been to several of their restaurants, it appears Cote place a strong emphasis on good service, and true to form, the cheery staff at Bath enhance the eating experience.
The food is French inspired and always of good quality, whilst also being reasonable value. Before seven weekdays, they offer a 2 or 3 course set menu, and at weekends there are usually specials available. Portion sizes are good, and they do great chips - ample helpings I thought, and so I was surprised to read the previous review. My own favorites are the sea bass and the chocolate pot with creme fraiche, whilst my wife recommends the lamb. There is a good choice so I am sure you will find something to take your fancy.

“Portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

We love Cote and regularly visit several of their restaurants. The food is generally consistent and well presented, my major gripe though is the laughably small portions of French Fries, served in a miniscule bucket (very trendy I suppose) not much bigger than an egg cup. Potatoes aren't expensive for Gods sake, and other restaurants, Café Rouge for example, manage to offer a reasonably sized portion. It seems such an un-necessary shame to appear so mean on something so basic which would hardly dent their profit margin!

“Great food (with service to match)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2014 via mobile

Off chance proved to be a worthy find. Looked expensive and grown ups only, but was very welcoming to 2 children and 2 adults. Sunday was families catching up with no pressure to get out so more covers can be served. Pudding took too long and the manager waived the cost. Ingredients were excellent and a fair price for them. I would go again.

“Lovely lunch”

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. This was a great find on a cold, winter day. All of the food was exceptional and I'd definitely go back the next time I find myself in Bath.
