It's just a row of houses in a circle with 3 roads leading out from it and some grass in the middle with large trees!

Nice enough area, we had our lunch from Tesco on the grass, nothing great to look at but then im not massively into architecture!

You'll be best off viewing it from the open top tour bus

It is a beautiful piece of architecture but it that is all there is to see. It is a row of crescent shaped housing.

This is better than the Royal Crescent actually as it is in better condition. Wonderful architecture- why can't we build like that nowadays? Love the green area in the middle, sets it off perfectly..

During my recent trip to Bath, I took a free walking tour offered by the Mayor of Bath Honorary Guides, a free service by the City since 1934. One of the highlighted points is the Circus. This circular Georgian townhouse complex was architected and built by John Wood Sr. and Jr. between 1754-69. Built with Bath stones and designed with Neo-classical style and Palladian influences, this complex is divided in 4 curved units; public access street paved in between each curve unit and a tree lawn in the center. Some of the past residents lived in The Circus are important figures in U.K.'s history. The structure frameworks are supported by Greek columns and capitals; friezes display various emblems of the mason's, give this complex unique and elegant appearance and the reputations of those prominent residents who once lived there. The Circus is nearby the Royal Crescent and Royal Victoria Park; you can easily plan a combined visit with a picnic break at the Park.

The Circus restaurant is quite tiny - personal attantion guaranteed, therefore, and plenty of choice for us and our friends on this booking. We were not disappointed. The often quite subtle nuances in cuisine abound here, and one should sit down ready to be pleasantly surprised by the less familiar.
