St Michaels is a church in the middle of Bath, but has its own wonderful cafe that serves good food, light lunches and great coffee. Busy when I was there because of the sale of card for good causes in the lead up to Christmas, it had a stillness about the place with a small side chapel where people can find quiet and pray. I haven't found a place like it in Bath. Really worth a visit.

Only went in to have a break but a really nice atmosphere. Far better than the normal venues. Pleasant ladies offering quite a choice of drinks and food.

Visited originally on a Saturday and came back for the Sunday Family Service. The building is attractive and interesting and they have done some superb work in modernising the inside to make it suitable for today. Comfortable chairs, a glass mezzanine, and a lift for wheel chair access. The congregation was enthusiastic and very welcoming and across every age range. The family service was evangelical in flavour and my only criticism would have been the length of some of the choruses - too many repetitions and not enough lyrical content. We went away refreshed and inspired.

Walking round Bath we were looking for somewhere for lunch and spotted St Michaels display board showing there was a cafe inside. We went inside and marvelled at the interior - light and amazing architecture and steeped in history. Looking round there was very interesting things to read and see discovering that this was a lively church still. Near the entrance was a lovely simple cafe serving hot drinks and a small but delicious menu. We ordered toasted goats cheese sandwiches which were amazing. With gentle background music the atmosphere was so peaceful. This is worth a visit and worth staying for a while to take in the atmosphere.
