What a beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable oasis of peace and beauty in the middle of a very average park without much character! In summer great for picnics with young children as no direct access to roads.

The botanical gardens are situated within Victoria Park and are a short walk from the Lower Bristol Road. You can visit the gardens at most times of the year but the trees and flowers are best seen during the spring and summer months. There is a tremendous range of trees, plants, and flowers and s stream and pond that contains a great variety of fish. Also within the gardens is a good range of wild birds and a large loft where doves congregate. You can easily spend a couple of hours here and the peace and tranquility are amazing even though you are almost in the centre of Bath!

A wonderful spot to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Birds and squirrels galore. Dogs welcome but on leads.

In the heart of this magnificent city, it is without doubt a very fine example of horticulture at its best. Whether visiting the tea rooms, playing tennis, having a picnic or just a quiet stroll, it doesn't dissapoint.
