“Wonderful stay at Apsley House”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Just returned from a wonderful anniversary weekend at Apsley House Hotel with my Husband. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the bedroom was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely come back!

Room Tip: The Wellington Room is lovely and the bed is ENORMOUS!

Really great place to stay and I would highly recommend. The only issue is it's location as it takes 30 minutes to walk into Bath. There is a bus service and a taxi costs approx £7 so only a minor issue and if you accept this then the accomodation, roooms, character and service make it an absolute delight to say at.
The bedroom we stayed at was very nice with a teriffic newly furnished batroom.
Breakfast was excellent - a real treat and with a special on offer both days we stayed.
Staff - incredibly friendly, superb local knowledge and considerate. They asked what we did for the day and how was the restaraunt etc. as they could then make recommendations to other guests.
Overall the place really made a really positive difference and was a pleasure to stay at.

Stayed in the garden room, very charming. At first i was worried that it would be too noisy as it is downstairs and you can hear people as you would in your house. However, as the reception and living room close at 10 pm and there were not a million guests, it was not an issue at all. The breakfast was delice and very generous. The place was super well kept and clean. The garden beautiful and the dining room too. All in all a very good stay. It is a little further out than most places, so you do have to take your car in and it gets costly to park at those parking lots or on the street for that matter. We could have taken the bus in, but we chose not to, but there is that option. I highly recommend the place.

We have just returned from a two night stay and could not recommend this hotel more. Our room was very luxurious with so many finishing touches to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and the service excellent. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Location wise we had a nice walk though the park to reach the historical buildings at the Royal Crescent and the Circus and then on to the Roman Baths. The bus service was great too stopping and picking up just a few yards from the hotel.
I would have no hesitation in returning to this wonderful place and can see why is earns its no one spot on trip advisor.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Apsely House Hotel. If you want the ultimate book this hotel and you will not be disappointed. We had a wonderful room situated on the basement floor. I loved the vintage furniture, a very large bathroom and cute French doors leading out to the garden. So pretty, and so calm and quiet. The house itself is just amazingly beautiful and really well decorated. Taste is to delight.
This Hotel was perfect for us location wise and outside of the city centre. The host gave us a really great welcome and made us feel very much at home nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a stand out; they had a good mixture of hot and cold food and nice coffee. 5 stars all the way!!Can't complain

From the moment you enter this hotel you feel that people really care for you and your needs. Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast (with good choice) and generally friendly.

One comment - as there are bus stops outside the hotel to the centre of Bath it would be helpful if reception and room information about these was up to date! For those with bus passes, they make hotel very accessible!
