“Wonderful stay at Apsley House”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

We have just returned from a two night stay and could not recommend this hotel more. Our room was very luxurious with so many finishing touches to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and the service excellent. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
Location wise we had a nice walk though the park to reach the historical buildings at the Royal Crescent and the Circus and then on to the Roman Baths. The bus service was great too stopping and picking up just a few yards from the hotel.
I would have no hesitation in returning to this wonderful place and can see why is earns its no one spot on trip advisor.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Apsely House Hotel. If you want the ultimate book this hotel and you will not be disappointed. We had a wonderful room situated on the basement floor. I loved the vintage furniture, a very large bathroom and cute French doors leading out to the garden. So pretty, and so calm and quiet. The house itself is just amazingly beautiful and really well decorated. Taste is to delight.
This Hotel was perfect for us location wise and outside of the city centre. The host gave us a really great welcome and made us feel very much at home nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a stand out; they had a good mixture of hot and cold food and nice coffee. 5 stars all the way!!Can't complain

From the moment you enter this hotel you feel that people really care for you and your needs. Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast (with good choice) and generally friendly.

One comment - as there are bus stops outside the hotel to the centre of Bath it would be helpful if reception and room information about these was up to date! For those with bus passes, they make hotel very accessible!

Stayed here for a few days in February. Very nice B&B excellent breakfast each morning nicely presented with the choice of a "special" each morning. We stayed in room 5 which if I am perfectly truthful was not the prettiest room compared to some of the others however it had everything we needed, en suite bathroom was well fitted out modern and scrupulously clean, had nice touches and also full size Molton Brown toiletries provided. The staff are all charming friendly and well informed about Bath and surrounding areas worth visiting. The property is a good walk away from the centre of Bath so be aware of this otherwise if you wanted to park up the car and get a taxi in this costs between £6 - £7.50.

We stayed at the Apsley House Hotel for two nights in the middle of Feb and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is stunning and oozes british elegance! We loved it from the second we arrived after we was greeted with a very warm welcome from Steph. We stayed in the Wellington room, which was very spacious, with lots of natural light. The breakfast was delicious a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, toast and yoghurt followed by choice of cooked meals. The location was ok, about 30 mins walk into Bath's main town centre.

We visted the Roman baths and Thermae spa both I would recommend & Bath shopping is great!

It was our first stay in Bath and we cannot wait to return to the Apsley House Hotel soon!

We stayed in Bath last weekend for 3 days. Apsley House is stunning and the room we stayed in was just lovely (Wellesley Room). The room was on the ground floor next to Reception and the Breakfast area but that was not a problem and I would happily stay in this room again. Beautiful furniture and 4 poster bed. Breakfast was served between 7.30-9.30 and there was a choice of cereals, fruit, toast, full english, vegitarian english, a daily special, poached eggs and muffins. Splendid choices and the food was excellent.
Service was excellent. Molten Brown lotions in bathroom. Room cleaned daily. Bus routes outside although we walked to the city centre and it only took 20 minutes. Reception gave us maps and information on places to eat.
Plenty of parking spaces.
Would recommend to anyone staying in Bath.

Room Tip: The rooms range in price, the cheapest I believe has no windows so we chose the next room up which w...

Magnificent hosts and wonderful atmosphere. This charming B&B is not to be missed, ask for one of the rooms with a view of the garden and a four poster bed. Wonderful breakfast and good advice on what to see and do.

Tips: Take a wonderful excusion to the Cottswolds, it is worth the drive. Eat at the best Indian Restaurant we have ever experienced, Rajput. Spend a few hours at the spa next to the Roman Pumphouse and watch the hillside from the rooftop pool.
