Myself and my fiancee stayed at the Apsley House, the weekend before Christmas. I stayed here myself once around 10 years ago, and had always talked about it with positive affection.
We were not disappointed.
Met by the wonderful Steph, every effort was made to make us feel welcome, roaring fire's to warm the frozen December soul!
We stayed in room 11, the Beau room, wonderful king sized bed (four poster), very very clean, the bathroom was superb with a very large iron bath, more than enough for one, or even two!
The hotel has everything "thought out", from the honesty bar for your drinks, to reading the papers by the fire.
Breakfast in the morning was delicious, and a kind farewall from David, made the experience set.
The hotel is really convenient for going out in Bath for a night out (bus is easy, but a taxi is £7 right into the center of bath to there the Abby is). The next morning we went shopping and used the park and ride (out of the hotel, down the hill to the left, £3 per adult return, brill)
Thanks Apsley, we will defiantly be back.
