This is a wonderful hotel. Service is great, rooms are clean and comfortable, and so is the bed. The location was more convenient that we had expected. If I get back to Bath, I'' definitely stay here again.

Dear Guest, many thanks for your kind words. We really do have a unique location here at Harington's being located right in the very centre of Bath, where all the sights our wonderful city has to offer are literally on your door step. The Roman Baths are 300 yards away from us along with the Thermae Bath Spa. You really get a feel for the city when you are surrounded by it's atmosphere. I hope we see you back again very soon. Thanks Peter

Negative:
1. uncomfortable cheap narrow pillows (out of 5 - all the same)
2. noisy area due to nearby pubs and inconsiderate noisy guests; stumping and speaking loud late at night.
3. no elevator
4. no body lotion, toothpaste or cotton buds

Positive:
1. clean
2. good service
3. average breakfast but with variety

Dear Guest, we are disappointed to see that your stay did not meet your expectations. As we are a listed building we cannot have an elevator. We do try and make this clear on our website and booking confirmations. Any old period building in Bath will be exactly the same. Apologies if you were disturbed by noise from some other guests. We do not supply cotton buds, tooth paste or body lotion in our room, but our room information folder does state we do keep a stock of such items in reception should a guest need or forget to bring something with them like tooth paste. The vast majority of hotels will not stock these items as standard in their rooms. I'm perplexed about your comment regarding the pillow quality and size. We use standard sized pillows and they are the same quality as those used in Rocco Forte hotels. I will check these again today with housekeeping.

I hope if you return to our beautiful city you will give us another opportunity to show you that you wont find better! Many Thanks Peter

I stayed at this hotel for a friends wedding and loved the gorgeous boutique decor and the room I had was equally lovely and clean. It had all the mod cons and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and I would stay again and recommend this to family and friends.

Dear Guest, Thanks for your comments. Great to see you really liked the décor of the hotel. Melissa my wife does work hard to keep everything fresh and vibrant in the style of her décor. All our breakfast ingredients are sourced locally which help give a great breakfast for our guests. I hope to see you back with us again soon, Thanks Peter

A lovely little hotel in an absolutely ideal location. For the size, other rooms that we had were very well sound insulated, so you couldn't hear much of any of the other rooms at all. Breakfast and general service was exceptionally pleasant, and everyone was really accommodating. It is rather small though, so such things like the height of certain rooms is JUST about ok for anyone over 6ft - 6'4" max. And stairways are a bit narrow, but one could always describe it as cosy. The feature double room is beautiful, but rather awkward internal spiral staircase, and another set of internal stairs to get to the toilet - not fantastic first thing in the morning (or last thing at night). Also inconvenient to carry heavy luggage up said spiral staircase, but a nice aesthetic feature.

Overall we would definitely book again, but word of warning, there aren't many rooms so the hotel gets booked quite quickly for weekends.

Room Tip: The feature double seems one of their best, but more ideal for couples. And try to ask for a room no...

Dear Guest, delighted to see you had a pleasant stay with us at Harington's. As the hotel is in a listed building you rooms are all slightly different. The building we are in is around 300 years old so there are some unusual features. This is one of the things that help make Harington's an individual hotel. Each room is slightly different with individual features. If guest have any particular requests or want to know more information regarding a room before they book please call us or e-mail and we are more than happy to help you select the room that best meets your needs. I hope we can welcome you back again very soon. Thanks Peter

We stayed in the City Pad apartment for 4 nights. Couldn't have been better located - everything was right on our doorstep yet there was no problem with noise at night. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped, we even had a Nespresso coffee machine! The main bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed not quite as good. The only other minor fault is that the pillows weren't.great. We only took the Continental breakfasts, which were were fairly standard but with a good assortment of fresh fruit, and the cooked breakfasts looked very good indeed. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan to return to Bath next year and will definitely stay in Harinton's again!

Dear Clare, thanks a million for your kind words. I 'm delighted you had such a good stay in the city pad apartment. It does give guests that little bit of extra space that many people appreciate. We are currently renovating a two bedroom apartment to add to our existing stock, so you can bring even more people with you when you visit next year!! I will have a look at the pillows in the apartment, different pillows can be difficult to adjust to, but we do use a standard of pillow that is used in some of the top hotels in the country. We look forward to welcoming you to Bath again next year. Thanks Peter

Just had a lovely night at the Harington Hotel. We chose it for its location right opposite the Raven (a fantastic pub!) and were not disappointed. The room was lovely, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff friendy and helpful, and to have parking easily organised was a god-send. Ony very minor detail was the noise later on at night but for the centre of Bath that is to be expected - so no complaints! A great location, we will be back!

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your review. Great to see you had a great time and were able to enjoy the Raven pub. It is a great traditional pub that serves a fantastic selection of unusual traditional ales. They even have an ale that is brewed especially for the raven. Not many original independent pubs left like this anymore. They also do super pies! We hope to see you again soon. Thanks Peter

Given that the three of us had been on top of each other in triple rooms for over a week, the idea of having our own townhouse where our son could have his own bedroom on the top floor was very attractive. We stayed in the Premiere Apartment which could sleep, in a pinch, 8 so we had much more Room than we needed but the concert was worth the extra expense, which was reasonable. We are pretty much around the corner from the main hotel but the front desk staff were extremely helpful in showing us around the three-storey apartment and in anything else we asked of them.

Everything was clean and they were prepared for our late arrival from York. We had arranged with them in advance for a one night parking permit (11 pounds) in the centre of Bath and, despite the ten minute or so walk to the parking lot, that was enormously convenient.

We used the first floor lounge and kitchen (which has a dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer (that takes forever and a day)) but did not use the available Terrace which seems a nice bonus. Our bedroom and bathroom were on the second floor and our son ruled the top. The bathroom on the top floor seems newer but both were clean and well stocked. It is not a serviced apartment but new towels were promised each day, and at least for the first day, the promise was kept.

Breakfast was not available to the apartment unless we preordered and paid for it, but that didn't matter because we made our own in the well-stocked kitchen.

Location is grand; just a few blocks from the historical centre of Bath and around the corner from Queens Park (if that's what it was called).

In sum: great place to stay if you want to spread out.

Room Tip: There are two apartments, this is the bigger one.

Dear Canadian67, Thanks for you review on our Premier apartment. It is really ideal for families and groups wanting a larger space for themselves for a few days in our beautiful city. As you mentioned the location is superb, and having the added bonus of your own private outdoor patio area right in the centre of Bath is really unique for such a city centre location. The apartment has shy TV with complimentary sports and movies, along with free Wi-Fi. Of course you may not have time to enjoy these benefits as there is just too much to do and see in our smashing city. Many thanks Peter
