“Not far from perfect”
Reviewed November 1, 2011

I stayed at harringtons a couple of weeks ago, in their apartment. It was a delight, very spacious and comfortable, well decorated, there was the odd knick here and there but nothing to cause concern. The apartment was also very clean, was situated in a quaint little street, very quiet in the evening. In the perfect location, everything was a stones throw away.
The staff were pleasant and very helpful, the hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere yet still professional. I can't imagine why anyone would want to rate this hotel any less than good.

Room Tip: Book the city apartment if you are a couple wanting a romantic getaway.

My wife and I stayed at the Harington for a two night break during half term and we had a really pleasant visit. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and attentive. Breakfast was a good mix of continental and cooked with all tastes catered for. Location was brilliant as it is situated within walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants etc... We would definitely stay again in the future.

What a terrific find! We stayed in this delightful little hotel for 2 nights and could have stayed quite happily for many more. The staff were friendly and helpful and made every guest feel special. The girls who were 'doing the breakfasts' were particularly lovely. The room was quiet, clean and well-equiped with a lovely lovely shower! Although right in the city centre, once tucked up inside, you could have been anywhere in the world. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast rooms were bright, cheerful and welcoming. A great choice was on offer and, again, every whim was catered for. Bath itself is a beautiful city, full of charm, amazing architecture and, of course, history. Harington's was the perfect base to explore the city and it's delights.

They say it is a 3* hotel, but it was miles ahead of the 5* Westbury we stayed in in London earlier this year. We will definitely be visiting and staying in Harington's again.

Thank you so much for your very kind review of your stay with us. I am thrilled that you found the hotel to be bright and that your every need was catered for.

Myself and all the staff at the hotel try our upmost to ensure that your stay with us is a pleasurable one, and I am glad that you found this to be the case.

We are lucky with our location be tucked away in a small side street, but still right in the centre of Bath.

I do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future.

Kind Regards

We stayed here in October 2011. The hotel is down an alley off one of the main roads. It is a small boutique hotel with only 13 rooms. The staff was very welcoming and even held onto out luggage so we could tour Bath before our room was ready. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had room 7 which had beds for three people which was perfect for myself and two children. The hotel was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our two day stay in Bath, and within easy walking distance from the train station with a train to London. The morning breakfast included in the stay will have me longing to return! Yummy fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries and hot, made-to-order pancakes, sausages and drinks. It was a magical place to stay in the splendid town of Bath.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room in the back of the hotel as there is a busy late night pub across the narrow...

We stayed here 1 night after walking the Cotswold Way. It is a boutique hotel, owned and managed by a very friendly couple who will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are very, very clean and uniquely decorated. Although the rooms are small, they have every convenience and are very functional. The bathroom was also small but had a great shower. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. The convenience to everything in Bath made it an excellent place to stay. We will definitely stay here again. If you are not late night people make sure you get a room in the back of the hotel as there is a pub right across the street from the hotel although we did not here anything in our room.

Room Tip: Rooms facing away from the street are very quiet.

decided on a last minute weekend in Bath and one of the few available rooms was a feature room at Harington's. The 'feature' is that the room has been tucked into the top of the hotel via a private spiral staircase. There is a wetroom ensuite but the v. small loo is an additional flight again. The room itself was a reasonable size, clean, nicely decorated and the double bed very confortable. Other pluses were the central location and the friendly staff. Breakfast was good without being spectacular.

But back to the room, does quirky deserve to be priced at a premium? Can't say that I felt we had value for money. We would stay here again but this time (literally) paid a high price for impulse.

Room Tip: stay clear of feature rooms!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in a single room which was beautifully decorated and an excellent size. It was immaculate. The free wifi was a real bonus with keeping in touch with friends.

It is well placed for many attractions including the Austen Centre and the Theatre Royal.

My only negative was the fact that I did have to compete with the noise from the pub opposite my window at night. However I will rebook when I visit again.

Thank you for a lovely stay.
