We recently stayed two nights here. Our reasons for choosing - off road parking (rare in Bath), reasonable walking distance into town (about 40 mins) and not overpriced (unlike many I looked at).
Will definitely come again. Very welcoming and friendly service, bedroom/ensuite was spotless and well appointed and breakfast was well cooked, plenty of choice and efficiently served.

Hi and thank you to all our guests for taking the trouble to review your stay with us. It is much appreciated by independent businesses such as ourselves who rely more on reputation rather than on branding. It is also important for us to know what people appreciate and want which helps us direct our efforts in the right areas. Have a relaxing Christmas and a healthy and prosperous 2012.

We wanted to meet friend from Wales for a long weekend in Bath and after searching the local area found the ones near the town centre VERY expensive. Calling the local tourist office is a great way to find the right place at the best rates, they recommended Aqua Sulis a few Kls out of town on the Bristol side. There is free parking and the bus stops at the door, how easy! The owners are very helpful, located in a beautiful double semi detached stone house with large rear gardens. The breakfast was to die for and no need for a big lunch either!! The rooms are well fitted all with attached bathrooms, there are no lifts so if you don’t like stairs ask for one of the ground floor rooms, the best is the back one off the laundry that has direct access to the garden, it’s also the largest! The rooms are clean and fresh, quite a find indeed!

Room Tip: Ask for the back room beside the laundry, large and direct access to the garden.

My partner and myself stayed here for a couple of nights recently! The whole guest house was spotless, with lovely large rooms, nice crisp bed linen and a great breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome and were recommended some great places to eat at in the evening! The GH is on a main bus route about 10 mins ride into the town centre so we left the car parked at the GH and caught the bus each time we went into the centre of Bath! I would absolutely recommend this guest house and definitely stay there again! Great value for money.

We stayed one night at the aquae sulis. There is good parking, unlike many other Bath hotels. Reception was very efficient and helpful and the room and en suite very clean and with all ameneties. Breakfast had a very wide choice, and was very well served. The hotel is not far from the park and ride to Bath centre, and as a whole we felt it was an excellent base for a Bath visit and very good value.

My father and I traveled to Bath in Oct. 2011. We stayed only one night at Aquae Sulis Guest House, and really wish we had stayed longer. The house was so lovely, very elegantly appointed, and so very comfortable. The bed was like sleeping in a giant marshmallow. Everything was clean and neat as a pin. But most of all, we so appreciated the kindness and assistance of the owner, Jane Carnegie. It was my first time driving in Great Britain, so I was very frustrated with finding our way, parking and traffic. Jane kindly offered to drop my disabled father and me in downtown Bath where we could walk around easily and see all that we needed to, and then she picked us up again and drove us back to the guest house. I was so relieved of stress and so grateful to her for taking her precious time to do us that huge favor. Hence the title of my review, "treated like family". I highly recommend Aquae Sulis to anyone who will be visiting Bath, even if for only one night.

The lady was very helpful and kind. The room was cosy and care to detail had been considered throughout. I had everything I needed in my room and more with an alarm clock, 2 sets of extra bed side lights and so on. I really enjoyed my stay and the though put into the extra touches in my room
