“No second thoughts on staying here again!”
Reviewed May 30, 2011

My daughter-in-law booked us into this hotel and what a great find. The room was clean and spacious, with all amenities one would want. The staff and owners were terrific - very accommodating and gracious. Breakfasts were delicious, and the bar was a delightful place to spend some time in the evening after touring Bath during the day. A decent walk to the center of Bath, but it allowed us to enjoy all the delicious foods we found in the city! Will definitely stay here again on any return trips to Bath.

Room Tip: Sally Lunn room was roomy and had a great view.

We arrived by default due to a booking breakdown elswhere. Did not want to leave. The propriotors and their staff could not be faulted. Service was beyond any expectations. Everything worked like clockwork, charges were very reasonable. They even delivered us to the rail station as part of the service. Well done.

Due to a reservation snafu on my part, I arrived without a reservation for the first night. The owner graciously found me another place to stay and then drove me to the other B&B. Both were very nice and a nice walk into town. Breakfast was wonderful. I would stay here again.

Smaller room so full bed and breakfast (euro and a full fry up) was only £59. Arrived in the dead of night to the friendliest reception in the world. The rooms are immaculate with nice decorations. Slightly harder bed than I'm personally used to but didn't seem to stop me falling asleep. Italian tiles in the bathroom. Cooked breakfast arrived in 3 minutes. Lovely! Wouldn't try anywhere else first.

My wife and I stayed for four nights over the Easter w/end with our 3 year old and another couple who had their 2 year old. We had absolutely no feelings of needing to keep the kids quiet or under control or that they were a hassle (not that they're out of control or overtly noisy anyway - obviously!) and there was no frowning in our direction. Quite the opposite in fact; they enjoyed doing laundry with Jane!! Not having to worry about your kids annoying other people is what makes your weekend away truly relaxing and this place is an oasis among so called "Hotels" - loved the charm of the building too and the breakfasts were always spot on.
Thanks guys and we will be back ;-)

I stay here everytime im in Bath (5/6 times a month) and have done for about 2 years and not once have i been tempted to try another hotel.

Granted here are more 'modern' hotels nearby but not only are they more expensive - they dont offer what the Aquae Sulis does, every room has got a HD television, an iron + ironing board, and free (great quality) wifi. The sevice is fantstic by everyone involved, and the fry up in the morning is gorgeous - all in all i cant reccomend this hotel high enough.

From the very warm welcome to the checking out we found that everyone at the hotel were very friendly. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the en-suite was also spacious. It was very clean throughout. The breakfast menu was very good and the food excellent in quality and quantity. Breakfast staff were extemely pleasant and we were never rushed at all. we will certainly stay here again.
